As for favourite non-FF RPG, it'd definitely be Bahamut Lagoon, a SRPG for the SNES made by Square with heavily customizable dragons and teams, a compelling story with villains that are deeper than most of the playable cast and that you actually feel for, and one of the best SNES soundtracks ever. Mantle in FE9 and FE10 (and anything that railroads you in a similar way), the Black Knight battle in FE9, plenty of various and sundry things in FE10 and FE4, the Attack Speed system of the GBA games, the existence of the characters I hate in various installments, Wind Magic whenever it appears and the hiding of certain stats (growth rates, terrain penalties, etc.) in all the games.
