Nanami Touko
Shiiiiiiiiiiit that's a sexy map, SL. If you have no plans for it later, would you mind letting me use it? If not, that's fine.
Chocolate Kitty
Damn, that's quite creative, I'm digging the snow, seriously, nice. damnitnowihavetoreallygetcreative
Celice
The snow tileset is so pretty... it's a shame it wasn't used more. I half get the illusion of that being a floating island, rather than a frozen body of water.
Chocolate Kitty
Forgot to do this yesterday, I'm extending this a bit, gives you guys more time and me more time to slack off.

Chocolate Kitty
Thanks to laziness and only 3 entries, June 6th.
Celice
I got an entry in the works, but it's half finished. Thankfully you allowed a custom tileset, at least. But I'm really digging that ice map over all the rest.
Celice
Finally bored enough to try finishing this.
Primefusion
Hmm, the places where you used the ship tiles to make walls look kind of odd. The water for those tiles is supposed to make it look like the ship is moving but since you've used it as a building it looks as though the middle of the building is trying to break free from the rest of it. Celice
Actually, that should be the water rushing through the water passway. Which is why the water current is larger on one side than the other ^^; After working with NES games a lot, you tend to find ways to reuse tiles in new ways, due to a lack of space to play around with. Feaw
Well I have to say that it's extremely interesting, and that I like it very much. But, there's a downside, and that pretty much kills it. It looks nothing like the original map. It doesn't look like a remake/pimp, it looks like a total different map (mainly because of the totally different layout of the building).
Celice
I'd agree, if the requirements were to update the map. But as far as remakes and pimping goes, reenvisioning is part of the process. There's something about reusing a basic concept, yet expanding on it, even in new directions, which comes from pimping out a map. I haven't played FE2 in quite some time, but a good amount of the maps are pretty useless, purpose-wise. This map I'm pretty sure was no exception. Most maps were simply areas for the player to battle, and that was their only purpose. Now, this map has more of a purpose. The building may not look the same, but it's still the same locale, and same area. In a way, one could say the lava or snow remakes are equally out of place, due to the locational switch. Deviating is always a bit more fun anyways. Metroid Zero Mission would have been a horrible game had it simply followed the same exact limitations the original game used, including the same corridor for five screens at a time (due to how the game stored its level data). There's always the original to return to--something new isn't so bad, in the end, either.
Feaw
Hm, you make a good point. Though, I'd say the snow version could still be in the same place becuase, yeah, snow. Lava, I agree. And about purposes, sure, the building may serve as some dam/flood gate, but it's irrelevant to the competition. And I mean, you could make the interior walls a bit more like the original (that's what I was talking about anyways). And the pier... I'd say just remove it. Also, another note, the different wall tiles don't seem to work together well. You used to many different walls next to eachother, which really decreases the visual appeal.
