In the PSP version, my idea of efficiency came from FF12 - hit from a distance, hit fast, and generally killed stuff once he learned Barrage (pretty sure a Calculator costs more than 1200 JP). EDIT: Downside to Balthier was his join time - he showed up a bit before Cid. Before that was Luso, who was Ramza's slower, physical clone. Imagine two Yellers. . .yeah.
