Lowen and Dorcas stayed to deal with mercenaries and cavaliers, along with Florina, who got the energy ring AND the dragon shield(Lowen got the skill book). Marcus resued Eliwood and went through mountains. The other guys were frantically trying to survive...but they managed. Merlinus even managed to survive the brigand onslaught. Sain lured him in on turn 3 ep, and hit him with his steel sword, then Dart chipped with a hand axe, and Sain finished. Fiora got the whip, and Marcus was deployed to shop. Chapter 12 8/14 turns Oswin and Hetcor took care of business. Again wasted a turn getting the village Eliwood camped out and killed many on a forest. Chapter 13 7/21 turns I got the village. Marcus river dropped Eliwood and he went and got the boss kill. I got the torch and spent 1 extra turn buying hand axes Chapter 13x 8/29 turns I got the village. Eliwood blocked the left entrance, Marcus and Bartre blocked the north entrance with Bartre visiting the village and Marcus getting the boss kill. Matt blocked the south Chapter 14 8/37 turns Bought Serra to recruit Erk. I rushed with Marcus to get the boss Bartre took care of reinforcements. Eliwood got the upper village. Chapter 15 7/44 turns Marcus carried Eliwood over the mountains. Bartre, Matt, and Rebecca took care of the south. I used Sain in the Southeast and he got the Heavy Spear village. Many weapons were bought. Chapter 16 10/54 turns I got Raven. Matt went and got the Unlock and the Heroes Crest. Marcus carried Priscilla up and she recruited Raven. Raven Rescued one soldier so I could get the Gaiden. Eliwood got the kill on turn 9 EP and seized on turn 10. Chapter 16x 7/61 turns Marcus rushed North while I got Canas and gave Bartre the secret book. I also got the Devil's Axe. Raven got a few kills while Prissy healed around. Marcus talked to Fargus on turn 7. Chapter 17 6/67 turns Marcus rushed south, while Bartre and Raven held down an entrance. Prissy stayed behind them so she could heal every turn. Raven got good levelups and Marcus killed the boss on turn 6. Chapter 18 7/74 turns Marcus rushed down while Raven held the north and Prissy healed. Bartre killed the reinforcements and Rebecca and Eliwood just helped around. Chapter 18x 9/83 turns Marcus Rushed and Matt stole the silver card. There is not really much else to say about this one. Pent and Sain (with Elixirs) went up the middle, Hawkeye and Dart killed the armour brigade, and Nino, Wallace and Louise stayed back to get the Wyverns. Fiora bought silvers and got the warp staff. Chapter 28 - 6/123 Turns Used Sain to distract Kaim so Eliwoop could seize. Kaim almost OHKO'd my Eliwood. Thank god you don't have to kill him. I never did, actually. Prissy barrier-spammed to get to A-Rank Staves. Rebecca went one round in the arena. Chapter 21 3/103 turns Raven promoted and moved forward. Matt went secret-shopping. The silver card is a life-saver. Prissy kept spamming her staves to get exp. Isadora was got and went forward. Raven and Isadora chipped the boss and Bartre killed it. Chapter 22 8/111 turns I actually had enough expierience to get the sidequest. Pent killed all. Eliwood got one boss. Raven got the othe all enemies died by turn 8. All the treasure I got was the Ocean Seal or in my mind, 25000 dollars. Eliwood recruited Legault and Matt stole the Memeber Card. Bartre got the kill and Eliwood seized on turn 12. Missed the Killer Bow but Rebecca got the Long Bow Chapter 20 5/100 turns Matt bought more equipment. Raven rushed forward and killed the boss on turn 5. Prissy barrier-spammed to get to A-Rank Staves. Rebecca went one round in the arena. Chapter 21 3/103 turns Raven promoted and moved forward. Matt went secret-shopping. The silver card is a life-saver. Prissy kept spamming her staves to get exp. Isadora was got and went forward. Raven and Isadora chipped the boss and Bartre killed it. Chapter 22 8/111 turns I actually had enough expierience to get the sidequest. Pent killed all. Eliwood got one boss. Raven got the othe all enemies died by turn 8. All the treasure I got was the Ocean Seal or in my mind, 25000 dollars. Chapter 13x: 8/23 Surprisingly easy, compared to what you get on HHM. First chance to get some EXP into my growth units for when Marcus disappears. Guy received the Energy Ring at the start, making him borderline for one-rounding on all the Brigands, Archers and Nomads that attack the central Island. Oswin got the Secret Book. He cleared the whole thing with his help while Eliwood and Marcus cleared the right. Eliwood: 4.25 Marcus: 2.87 Oswin: 10.22 Guy: 6.07 Chapter 14: 4/27 Finally something interesting. On turn 1 Marcus picks up Oswin and one-shots the Solders at the front, then drops him on turn 2 just within Eric’s range and places himself so that every other Cavalier that attacks that phase save 1 dies on him. Guy follows to serve as clean up, then with exact positioning both the Knight and Pirate attack at once (He needs a KE critical for the Knight) at the end of turn 4 while the Brigand on the peak dies to Marcus. Eliwood handles the Solders in the back, and Serra recruits Erk who then hits the village. Eliwood: 5.37 Marcus: 3.27 Oswin: 11.31 Guy: 7.18 Chapter 15: 6/33 Marcus and Eliwood move over the mountains, Oswin and Guy handle the bottom and Kent the bottom right corner while everyone else does the shopping. Dig Posted July 20, 2011 Share Posted July 20, 2011 Chapter 11: 5/5 See previous entry Chapter 12: 5/10 Same strategy as my previous play, except that Marcus got a slightly better level-up and Hector got a slightly worse one. Chapter 13: 6/16 Like before, I had trouble with Eliwood's durability. I got a lucky critical hit or two, though, so that was nice. Chapter 13x: 8/24 Pretty much the same stuff as last time, except without Eliwood and Hector supporting. Chapter 14: 7/31 Marcus charged solo down the middle while Eliwood and Serra grabbed Erk. Hector killed some soldiers and a pirate and helped Marcus clean up what was left. Erk used his Goddess Icon for a Luck boost. Chapter 15: 6/37 Marcus rescued Eliwood and headed for the castle. I had trouble using the mountain route, so I went down and around the cliff, instead. Hector followed in Marcus's wake and grabbed some experience. Erk stayed near Merlinus and protected him. Sain and Lyn handled the southeast. I manged to visit both villages, as well. The three ground units clear out the Knight and Archers on turn 1, and from there the whole thing is a Marcus rush, with Eliwood, (Rescued once the bottleneck in the upper left side is cleared) Priscilla and Matthew following. Managed to have the Knight Crest and Silver sword by time I finished, but Guy will have to wait until Legault can steal the chapter 20 Hero Crest. Raven was recruited in time, Lucius was not. Eliwood: 6.10 Marcus: 5.44 Oswin: 12.24 Guy: 9.24 Chapter 16x: 5/44 A Marcus Blitz is boring, and I have the units need for the more traditional strategy I use on my ranked runs. Oswin and Guy position themselves just over the trigger point on turn 1, with Marcus getting the Devil Axe, Florina recruiting Canas and Eliwood heading north to peck at the weaker Pirates. On turn 2 Guy camps on a forest and everyone tries to hold out until Florina visits all the villages and talks to Fargus on turn 5 (With proper use of canto, she is never touched). A bit luck based, but in a way I find more fun than frustrating, given the huge EXP payoff when everything works. Eliwood: 7.08 Marcus: 5.53 Oswin: 14.09 Guy: 11.88 Canas: 8.99 Chapter 17: 3/47 Standard 3 turn clear using Marcus, except he picked up Guy and dropped him at Zoldam so he would get the EXP. Oswin received another Secret Book and a promotion (Not needed until next chapter, but may as well), Canas the Dragon Shield and Guy the Goddess Icon. Eliwood: 7.99 Marcus: 5.80 Oswin: 1.32 Guy: 12.81 Canas: 9.78 Chapter 18: 5/52 Guy was absolutely worth the extra turn I took to recruit him, with 24 ATK, 115 Hit and 17 AS with the Silver sword allowing me to one-turn Uhai when combined with a Javelin hit from Marcus. Oswin broke a snag on turn 1 leading to the central island and the one leading to the boss on the next. Canas and Eliwood distracted the enemies behind them while camping on the forts. I was unfortunately not able to recruit Fiora, not having enough units to protect her sister, and she died the turn after she appeared. Eliwood: 9.88 Marcus: 6.24 Oswin: 1.48 Guy: 14.17 Canas: 10.87 Chapter 18x: 5/57 Marcus can already OHKO Mages and DA Knights even with his SPD cut in half, so he just picked up Elwood and charged the gate. Guy can reach the boss by turn 5 unassisted if he uses his full movement every turn, and has the avoid now to not care about potshots. Deployed unarmed Florina just to get the Goddess Icon, given to Guy in the next chapter. I thought that was in the same category as shopping, recruiting, etc. but double checking, apparently not. Oh well, guess I have to start over, given the number of times that I did it. I wish someone had pointed that out after I said Bartre visited the one in chapter 11. Though, thinking about it, if non-drafted units are allowed to use Chest Keys, I fail to see why visiting villages should be treated any differently. Changing the rules at this point would be unfair to the people who played by them, however. I'll see what SP thinks. GreatEclipse Posted July 21, 2011 Share Posted July 21, 2011 Well, I did use a few charges of the Swordreaver in 18x, but it was on a few weak pegs that would have died to a Steel sword anyway, and I already used the Goddess Icon on Guy, but the boost is so minor I doubt it will ever make a difference. More Important is the Dragon Shield I gave Canas. I supposes I could just add another turn retroactively to 11 to account for it turn it would have taken to visit with Marcus. Still, I did break the rules more than once, even if it was unintentional. The biggest thing keeping me from restarting is that fact that I just hit chapter 20, and things should finally get more interesting now that Marcus is gone.
