Icon of Sin
Didn't Maji already pick Biraku? Well, time to complain about my team. Yes he did. Spykor completely ignored it from the looks of it. Anyway as for my team : Marth : Kicks ass and takes names without pants. Jeigan/Alan : My only Paladin for either book. Jeigan might get a bunch of boosters while Alan can probably use orbs for a few decent level ups. Sheeda : Whoring herself for the benefit of the player since 1990. Likes to show she isn't wearing anything under that skirt while riding her dragon. Too bad that he dies from various STDs and she has to start with a new pegasus in book 2. Oguma : Comes early, kills shit, promotes, kills more shit, wins the game. I can't go wrong with this guy. Wendell : The pope is getting some action up in this bitch. Starts great, slows a bit but he's still a great second staffer. Yumina : She rescues and drains enemies with Resire. Definitely going to be useful but she's sadly book 2 only. Kashim : Still pretty badass for a mama's boy. The horse on promotion will be valuable. George : Good midgame unit in either book. Definitely going to orb him up in book 2. Astria : George's BFF and a useful swordsman indoors and outdoors. Should be very good even in the end, though Oguma is likely going to surpass him in his career. Ryan : I only picked him since I had no one else but Marth and Alan until chapter 4 in book 2. He might be useful in the end, but that does leave me with having to use 2 Orion Bolts. Banutu : Uncle Ban Ban's high defense and HP are going to be useful for tanking in several spots. His 1-2 range is also appreciated, but sadly he's going to be doubled pretty damn often. I'll probably throw a bunch of stat uppers in his direction as well. Est : A second flyer is always pretty useful. Hopefully I'll be able to level her up a bit so she can get decent combat stats. Macellan : Book 1 filler only. Not much to say about him, but I guess I'll keep him a Knight Crest and he'll have his moment of glory wielding the Gradius in the last chapter before retiring from the army and creating a tire business. Her stats aren't too great but she can use Physic from base and Fortify with 1 Wlv more. Edited August 3, 2011 by Dio
Maji
Might as well conform and do a list of my characters and my opinions of them as well. Marth- Seeing as Ch. 1 is going to be a foursome, he may or may not gain some levels there, then again, dat Falchion.. Jeigan- Not expecting to use him in a serious amount, just like a typical Jeigan unit. His usefulness will be at peak in the beginning. Gordon- My main attraction for the first few chapters, this will be a mad rush to get his Wlv up to Partia worthiness in both books. Doga- For the horrors of Port Warren and Pales!B2, I'll have to favour him to get him with at least a semi decent Def. Maji- Taking up Dokutayuu's challenge, to prove he's better than Saji! I'm not expecting him to end up as manly as in my LP though.. Biraku- Never used im', maybe I'll grow to love him, maybe I'll be begging for Book 2 to come around so I can hurry and off him. Raddy- I'm expecting mighty deeds from him, at the same time he's expecting the heads of several promoted kills; is my Miracle wielder Linda- Yay Book 2 win Mage! Book 1 will be a mad dash to get her to promote so she can use staffs, or more importantly, the Reserve. Thomas- My emergency Archer, anticipating giving him the Manual for early Partia RAGGGGGGGE. Boa- I should be more excited than I am, but it never hurts to have a staff user so I don't have to favour Linda to Lachesis amounts. Katua- Mainly for Book 2 Lady Sword get, but it always helps to have a flyer in Book 1 with fantastic growths.. my Gradius wielder. Chiki- To make B1 Ch. 19 slightly less painful, I am expecting her to turn out amazing as usual in both books. Alan- Much like Jeigan, only maybe end up using him seeing as Biraku isn't going to do his job as a Pally. Yubello- The only Mage in the entire game with decent Str growths IIRC; I'm very excite naturally; probably give him the Shaver. Samto- He'll be fine with Star Orb Fragment whoring, seeing as most of my team but him doesn't need it; my Miracle wielder.
Shin
Maji- Taking up Dokutayuu's challenge, to prove he's better than Saji! I'm not expecting him to end up as manly as in my LP though.. You might actually prove it! So far he's been awful. Chapter 1 - Super Jeigan - 7 turns Welcome to the FE3 draft! All I have right now are Marth and Jeigan! I forget about the village and send them to their doom! Kain, Abel and Sheeda give their stuff to Jeigan and he storms off. Jeigan almost kills everything so Marth can try and get some XP. It gets a little hairy around the middle but Marth takes the second village and, with Jeigan gets a turn 7 capture. Saji turns up, I've never used him before. I have no choice but to run from the bandits above me and hope they don't catch up. Jeigan kills Kashim and Saji almost dies. On the plus side, Jeigan gets a point of strength and Marth's level up was good! He kills the boss with a critical hit and captures on turn 5. Sheeda succeeds, Julian and Rena after a little to avoid getting killed, but Navarre saves their behinds. Saji kills a hunter but otherwise Marth's stealing the show. Shin
Chapter 4 - Enter Zagaro! The girly haired pansy of love! 7 turns And Marich and Matthis. Marth heads up to get his pantsless friend, letting the others handle the incoming army. Zagaro holds on for dear life, hoping that nobody sees him hiding. I have a bad feeling about him. Darros
Chapter 1 (8/8) Marth, Jeigan, and Cain. Marth levels twice and gets decent stats, Cain levels once and gains decent stats, Jeigan levels twice and gains... one point of speed. I forgot that EXP distribution was different in this game. Marth critted Gazzak. Chapter 2 (4+4/16) Ogma and his fighters run away, but Saji gets attacked. YAY PENALTIES! Jeigan kills the boss and gains strength. Whoop Whoop. Chapter 3 (5/21) I rushed, and prayed that Navarre wouldn't reach Lena. He didn't. I had to skip the Devil Axe village (Eh, no one could use it anyway). Jeigan and Cain tackled the boss while Marth pretty much stuck to self defense. Chapter 4 (8/29) Hey, I'm only 3 turns behind Shin right now, and that's because of that penalty earlier! I'm not doing terrible (unlike my FE4 draft) yay! In Hardins group, Roshea guarded to the right and Wolf tok the left. Wolf killed a pegasus knight and a cavalier (surviving with 1 HP at the end!!!), Roshea killed Matthis and an archer. In Marth's trio, they took care of the approaching cavalry. Cain stayed behind to kill a thief (picking up the silver sword) while Jeigan and Marth ran ahead. Edited August 5, 2011 by Spykitty
Maji
Chapter 1: Doga to the Rescue!... Again and Again, and Again. Turns Taken: 7 Turns out giving Doga the Javelin makes him 1,000 times more WIN from the start. Because I wanted stop the initial orgy of Pirates with Doga and Gordon, Marth had time to visit the village and Jeigan got the OHKO'd Thief, just because no one else could reach him in a decent time frame. Middle part, Jeigan did his job as Pally and distracted the enemies (Gordon hidden in the trees stealing kills here and there) while Marth and Doga slipped on by and took Talis. WIN moment: When Doga CRTC'd the Hunter, and when Marth went on a CRTC spree during an enemy phase like he had Wrath or something. Then again, I forgot to give him a generic Iron Sword, so all that Rapier RAEP on generic enemies >_< Unit LV XP HP ST SK SP LK WL DF RS Items Marth 01 62 18 05 06 07 07 06 07 00 Rapier Vulnery Jeigan 02 76 23 07 10 08 01 10 09 06 Silver Lance, Iron Lance, Iron Sword Gordon 02 28 18 06 05 04 04 06 06 00 Steel Bow, Iron Bow Doga 02 76 21 08 03 04 01 05 11 00 Iron Lance, Javelin 7/7 Chapter 2: WHOOSH, WHOOSH! Guard. Turns Taken: 4 Jeigan's 10 Mv, ftw! Oh hey, Doga can double attack with the Slim Lance, cool. Oguma, Saji and Barts ran immediately for cover to the south while Doga and Gordon dammed the northern bridge from the flood of foes while Jeigan and Marth ran as fast as they could to the fort with Maji trailing behind them killing any stragglers that Jeigan didn't kill. Somewhere in there, all the enemies to the west, but Kashim died, and Sheeda (who is very naked without any weapons or anything mind you) was in the area, so why not? I mean free bow for Gordon, right? Luckily no penalty was induced in this chapter. A thing that scared me was Marth was blocked from going to the fort the next turn, almost costing me a turn, but Maji to the rescue! Who knew the the Iron Axe could be accurate? Sadly, I didn't get to the village, but ah well. WIN moment: Jeigan CRTC'ing the boss and Gordon dodging a bunch of enemies (in which he was on a fort). Using Jeigan's lolmovement, I employed the same tactics as before with him rushing ahead and Marth following, only this time, Maji stayed behind to help Gordon and Doga deal with the onslaught of enemies to the north. Julian and Rena got behind them, Sheeda got ready to recruit, and they were set. I sweated for a second because Doga could have killed Navarre, but thankfully, he missed. With Maji taking care of the last Axefighter (gotta love accurate, yet powerful thanks to axes Axefighters on your team!), Sheeda moved in, got the Kill Sword for Marth and Jeigan impaled the boss with his Silver Spear while Marth hid in the distant woods ORKO'ing anything that came near him. Next turn, got me another fort and some gold! WIN Moment: Not only does Maji hit the Archer in the northern troops, he CRTCs him which lead to OHKOage. Although it probably didn't help in the long run seeing as I was trying to train Gordon, still was pretty awesome. Oh, and Marth finally being able to ORKO things. Steel Sword, ftw! Darros
Chapter 6 (14/43) This chapter sucks without magic. Keeping everyone alive without a healer is difficult, and the only source of reliable damage being the Armourslayer and rapier is no better. Still, I did it. I missed most of the treasures, including the robe. Chapter 6 (8/51) Everyone (but Rickard) helped out a lot, and Rickard stood on a mountain because he's weak. Jeigan chipped the boss and Marth killed him. Edited August 5, 2011 by Spykitty
Shin
I'm ready to strangle Saji and Zagaro. Neither double and they're both pansies. Saji has no durability and his offense is horrible. I'm almost glad that they won't appear in the second book. I think Maji may be greater than Saji, but Zagaro will prove to be the greatest archer of them all! Chapter 5 - The Fire Macguffin 9 turns! I leave Wendell and Ricardo in their cell, they'll think of something. Marth seems unstoppable, he can even kill the armours with a Steel Sword. I don't get too much swag, only the Reblow and 5000G. Marth charges ahead, he has to stop for a turn to heal. Evasion is horribly low in this game. Marth keeps going until he reaches the boss, who would kill him if he attacked first. Hopefully I'll get decent stats with him in the long run or else stat boosters are going to help with that. Jeigan : Fairly impressive with a Slim Lance in his hands. Alas he's already slowing down, especially defensively. Sheeda : Definitely my MVP. Being Strength blessed is helping her a lot. Her massive speed also lets her whip out some of the heavier weapons with ease. Oguma : He's pretty great but since Sheeda has higher movement, she faces more fights than he does. Kashim : Cleans up wounded enemies nicely. He especially got better in chapter 4 where he got a few more kills. BTW just a clarification : can undrafted units open doors? I could have Julian open it so he could recruit Rickard and Marich could recruit Wendel. Edited August 5, 2011 by Dio

Maji
Chapter 4: What's a Village? Turns Taken: 6 I decided, to save myself four very valuable turns, I skipped Marich and his Blizzard tome for Linda, and the Fire Stone, which would be useless for me. Anyway, Jeigan rushed on ahead to take out oncoming Thieves and Archers while everyone else (Marth too sadly, as the bridge was clogged up) dealt with the northeastern troops while Biraku stayed at the western, somewhat south on a chokepoint fort and fought for his life and Exp. After all that was done, Marth was WIN enough to ORKO the boss, and Jeigan took out his accomplice for his Armour Kill for Marth to use instead of his Rapier. Heh, would would look at that, Marth is the only one who moved on from centre stage where the big brawl took place (Maji cleaned up with dat Hand Axe and awesome Skl, Jeigan wasn't so useful as a dismount). I gave Biraku the Armour Kill so he can take out some Armours here and there, and I can say: I'm actually liking his growths so far! Anyway, I wasted a turn killing the Mage guarding the throne, which he was the only threat as the Archer had like a 53% of hitting Marth. Darros
Chapter 8: So much for doing well.. (21/84) This is why Maria is a terrible pick in drafts guys. At least she can help me heal later and do a great job, right? But uh, going through the castle took a lot of turns, good thing I had Cain and Wolf guarding. The hero was difficult because he doubled everyone, but Marth cockblocking with Maria healing right behind him helped. Minerva had an AI failure but recruited herself eventually. The boss was tough, I broke the rapier on him and there was only one use of the Armour killer left. e_e FUN FACT: Night Killer doesn't do bonus damage to horsemen. Thoughts so far Slowing down already, rather fast. The problem with most Jeigan units is their low HP, but it's probably where he's being the most helpful right now. How lucky! He's been allright so far, nothing special, but he slowed down my team early on due to lack of horse. >_> Not terrible. He doesn't have an Enemy Phase but he's useful chip on Player Phase. He gets doubled with Steel Bow equipped though. Opens doors and chests. Other than that, meh. Awesome. He's MVP so far. Roshea started off really weak compared to the Altean trio but he's growing quite nicely.
Darros
BTW just a clarification : can undrafted units open doors? I could have Julian open it so he could recruit Rickard and Marich could recruit Wendel. Didn't see this but I'm going to say no because you have a door key by this point, and some are buyable at Port Warren.
Icon of Sin
Chapter 5 - Ready the Popemobile at once! : 8/32 First the door is opened and Wendel is recruited. He joins the fray with Marich's Blizzard and a few staves I got earlier. Everyone else heads west as they fight Knights, Archers and Thieves. I can't quite say I'm happy with this, but I guess I could make him use the Miracle Sword with the Star Orb to great effect. Jeigan : Still useful with his 10 movement and chipping ability. Sheeda : She's level SIXTEEN. There's no way she's not my MVP. Oguma : Got a bit more action in chapters 5-7 before being relatively useless in chapter 8. He still destroys most of what he fights. I'm not sure when I'll promote him, however. Kashim : He had more use in chapters with a lot of flyers as long as Sheeda wasn't around to hax her way. Wendel : Great healer, decent chip damage, lucky crits give him easy kills. That's pretty much Wendel for you. Banutu : I'm not really surprised by how useful he can be. He did take turns to recruit but he's otherwise a nice unit to have. Edited August 6, 2011 by Dio
Shin
Chapter 8 - Rock the Dragon! 15 turns I have to rescue Maria to get Minerva, but it will probably be worth it. Everyone is kitted out with the swag Caesar and his mute companion bought.Matthis looks the most cowardly, so he's sent to take on the cavaliers from the west. The others head inside, Zagaro somehow survives against the fliers. Jeigan gets a lucky crit against the Sniper, opens the door and then Julian lets Navarre kill the hero. Matthis actually surives and kills the boss' guards. Marth recruits Maria and then Minerva recruits herself. Everyone pitches in for a turn 15 capture. Matthis uses the Goddess Icon. Marth takes on the oncoming social knights with help from Marich and Navarre. Matthis decides to use the arena a little and does a fine job. His 11 movement is extremely useful in fast map completions as seen with chapters 11 and 12. Jeigan : He doesn't fight that good anymore, but his 10 movement is still useful if I need a shopper in a flat map. His resistance is also useful against Mages, which he can still kill with relative ease. Sheeda : Capped her level, but sadly there's no Dragon Whip in sight until chapter 15. Oguma : Extremely durable and very powerful. His only problems are that he doesn't fly and that his movement is only 7. Kashim : Promoting him before a desert chapter isn't the best thing to evaluate his new utility as a cavalry archer, but he's still doing great. He usually kills what he fights. Wendel : Libro makes him great when Marth, Jeigan and Sheeda rush ahead. Magic Shield is neat to have in maps with a large number of Mages and his chip damage output exploded after he got the Power Ring. Too bad I didn't get the Tron spell. Banutu : Does his job well with a massive 22 damage Fire Breath, which kills most unpromoted units in one hit and leaves the promoted ones with single digit life. His durability is only rivaled by Oguma. George : Reminds me of Kashim when he began. He mostly does chip damage against stronger units, but can kill weaklings and flyers with ease. Michelan : Not much to say about him. His movement is really bad so he sees little action. He was my last draft pick after all. Boa : He used Relive once. That has to count for something. Astria : He's blonde? He wears green? I don't know, he barely fought but he had to use Silver to be decent. Maji
Chapter 6: Traps are for Wusses and People who want EXP. Turns Taken: 11 We may be wusses, but purchasing EXP with valuable turns is not the game of this play! Anyway, I had this done last night under 7 turns THEN I FORGOT, BANUTU NEEDS TO RECRUIT CHIKI, FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-. So this time I recruited him and made him run away from the Macedonians as fast as possible while Marth solo'd the Pegasus Knights, and the Dragon Knight flew to the west to attack Doga, then abruptly got an arrow stuck in him for his efforts. Meanwhile, Jeigan was shopping for Javelins and Slim Lances for Doga to rock out next chapter. Southern part of the map, those trip line reinforcements, eh? Gordon is not so durable, so he stayed mid map killing any weakened Socials who came his way, while Maji blocked the closest fort, Jeigan blocked the southeast fort, Doga to the northwest and Biraku dismounted to wield the Armour Kill to take on the Armours followed by Marth with another Armour Kill to kill the boss. For the boss, Jeigan got off his fort, poked the boss and Marth slew the field with a glorious 2x with the Armour Kill, sadly Biraku couldn't make it through the woods to help out in time. Next turn, trap is thwarted, and we're ready to go shoppin' in Warren! WIN moment: Biraku and Marth being able to double with Armour Killers, Biraku is awesome! So, Caesar shopped til he dropped (as well as my funds) and bought two Kill Swords, and three Silver Lances to continue Jeigan being good, Doga can wield one, ftw! Also, a Fire and Lightning tome for Linda when she finally joins. After that, taking advantage of trading, he gave Raddy a Kill Sword and his Steel Sword while everyone rushed into the Social/Horsemen/Archer/Armour orgy. Sadly, Marth couldn't just slip on by so I had to fight them all. Besides, Katua and Chiki are my only flyers, so gotta get em'! So Biraku and Jeigan take to the field with Jeigan with a Door Key, and Biraku with the Warp staff to sell for Door Keys, both do well, Biraku gains valuable Exp fighting the Socials. In Deal Prison, Maji with Gordon behind him guard Doga, Raddy and Marth from the oncoming Dragon Knights as the three provoke and kill the Archers and Armour Knight. Saddened upon wasting a turn because an Archer was in his way, Marth hurries on to rescue Maria with a Door Key in hand. Jeigan fights off the Hero with his mighty Silver Lance, while Biraku gains more valuable Exp fighting off random enemies. To my Glee, a dismounted Biraku doubled the boss with an Armour Slayer, and Jeigan climbs up sheer rock to help chip damage off so Biraku can get a safe finishing blow on the boss. Minerva flies through Deal Prison opposed to the long way because she's classy like that and recruits herself just as Marth was about to seize the area. Raddy uses the Goddess Icon, because no Merc should have 1 Lck. WIN moment: Biraku finally becoming a useful boss killer without Marth's guiding hand. Icon of Sin
Chapter 13 - Claiming back my homeland : 7/103 Most of the team rushes to the east side of the map, except Sheeda who goes west to the arena. Nothing really noteworthy except Chainy recruiting himself and Sheeda buying tons of keys. Marth used a Talisman and Banutu used a Secret Book. Sheeda and Marth sprint ahead of the group to fight Camus with Wendel, Kashim and Banutu behind then. Everyone else stays near the shops. Jeigan buys a lot of weapons with the Silver Card after selling a great number of useless promotion items. Oguma and Michelan fight a few rounds in the arena. Camus is slain by a combined effort of Sheeda using a Knightkiller and Wendel using the Volcanon. Sheeda then recruits Lawrence and Marth seizes. Several stat boosters were used, namely an Angelic Robe by Banutu that increases his HP by 14 in dragon form and a Power Ring by Wendel. Est could not be recruited since I didn't have Minerva and her Whitewings, who didn't even show up earlier. Jeigan : Perhaps I could've given him the Speed Rings I left on Michelan, but he also makes an excellent shopper to have around with that 10 Movement and Silver Card. Sheeda : Promotion raised her strength and defense up a notch, which is great. Her low HP is only an issue when facing juggernauts such as Camus. Oguma : A solid member of the team and definitely my indoor MVP along with Marth. Kashim : Two indoor maps in a row weren't good for him and he didn't fight much in chapter 16. He's going to be great against Macedonia's flyers however. Wendel : A couple of Power Rings turned chip damage into easy kills. His utility with staves is also excellent, and I didn't even touch my Reserve yet. Banutu : TOASTY! George : I chose Wendel over him for the Power Rings simply because his magic is so versatile. He's not completely awful since he doubles everything but he does really low damage and doesn't fight much since his enemy phase is unexistant. Michelan : 5 Movement curses him in drafts since he can barely ever fight. I'm not sure if he'll even promote. Boa : He uses Libro when I really need it, I suppose. Astria : He's basically the 1 range version of George. However, since his growths are a tad better and he can use the Star Orb to fight on the enemy phases, he might actually improve. He certainly won't be Oguma-godlike but still decent. Edited August 7, 2011 by Dio
Shin
Chapter 10 - The Bald and the Brave 7 turns I dive straight in, putting the prisoners in a formation keeping them all alive. I don't know why, I'm only getting two of them. Navarre clears the way for Marth and Julian. Matthis goes to try and get some exper-... save the trapped units! Julian only manages to steal the manual and Orion's bolt, Marth and Navarre handle the Sniper and General. Navarre gets the boss and Marth captures on turn 7. The boots would have been nice, but they'll cost a good number of turns to get. Marth isn't quite tough enough to run on ahead any way. Marich yums the Power Ring. Maji
Hey, I don't meen to be a dick to Dio, but shouldn't there be like a 10 turn penalty (10 instead of 42 because granted the Pegasus Sisters are kind of easy to miss) for missing undrafted characters or something seeing as we all busted our nuts/turncount for recruiting Maria? >_> Amusingly enough, Dio will still be doing just as well or maybe even better with a penalty for missing Est. There's no penalties for not recruiting. I only recruited Maria because I needed the healing. If I had Lena or Wendell I would've skipped her.
