Kriemhild
Timezones. What if someone is mass voted when they're sleeping/at school/working and don't get any chance to defend themselves? Seems unfair to me. First of all, why would the players mass vote on a player that didn't even get the chance to defend himself? You don't mass vote unless you want someone to get lynched. A majority will require too many votes for it to be considered as "merely pressure voting" Secondly, if the players are aware of this rule, and STILL allow a majority to be reached, that's their own fault for keeping all their votes and they can't blame the defendant for sleeping or the host for employing the rules (unless the host didn't mention this, which is not the case here). Thirdly, if there are enough votes for it to be a majority, I highly doubt any defense would be enough to both cast away those votes and have them redirected to another person, thus preventing the person from being lynched.
