omglmaowtf
Mekkah who did you use to kill the Falcoknights trio in your 0% growths playthru's epilogue? They're the game's toughest enemies since you can Naga!Julia for Julius Edited December 2, 2011 by omglmaowtf
Mekkah
Shanan, probably. It's been a while so it could have been Sety, but Shanan would probably do better.
Paperblade
Sety should normally have 40 HP base with base level Levin and Fury as his parents, but if what Mekkah did cut out even the automatic levels children characters are supposed to receive as part of their base stats, then yeah, it should wind up as 24. But as opposed to a 0% growths run starting characters at their base levels, that means the run is starting the children characters several levels below their base level (particularly Sety, Faval, and Altenna), which results in an added challenge, but it seems unnecessary to fulfill the point of a 0% growths run. This is basically correct. We didn't willingly cut out the automatic levels, it's just that the game checks their growths for the formula, sees they're 0 and goes "welp" The formulas for calculating children bases are on SF (at the bottom of this page). Basically all children get 20% of their primary parent's and 10% of their secondary parent's "stat additions" (ie what they have before class bases are taken into account... the maximums are 60 for HP, 30 for Luck, and 15 for other stats) and then growths are multiplied by level and added to that and class bases are applied. However, since we have 0% growths, we basically have a bunch of level 1 characters and have to heavily rely on the static characters (specifically Oifaye, Shanan, Julia, and Ares) and only use children for utility (Leadership/Charisma/Dancers/staves) or lolholyweapons HP Addition = (Parent's HP - 20, take as 0 if negative) Luck Addition = Parent's Luck Other Addition = (Parent's stat - Parent's class base stat, take as 0 if negative) HP = { [(Main parent's HP addition * 2) + Secondary parent's HP addition] / 10 } + (Level * HP growth) + 20 so for HP, FE4 characters have about 30-40 HP, with a couple females a bit below that for example, let's look at Lex/Ayra and Levin/Fury Lex's HP addition would be 13, and Ayra's 12, giving us (13*2 + 12)/10 + 0 + 20 = (38/10) + 20 = 23.8 base HP for Skasaher (and like 23.7 for Lakche) Levin and Fury have 34 and 32HP, giving us 23.9HP for Sety (I imagine the game rounds up). So most every character will have 24 base HP. Normally, Sety would have 1.15 HP growth * 14 levels = 16.1 bonus HP, bringing him to a more respectable 40HP, plus a few points extra from his parents having gained HP from level ups (Probably ~4 from Levin and 1 from Fury) Luck = [(Main parent's Luck addition * 2) + Secondary parent's Luck addition + Random number] / 10] }+ level * lck growth + 1 The random number is from 1-99. This means assuming we roll 99 and pair Dew/Adean (highest Luck bases among male and female first gen at 12 and 11), we get Lester's Luck: (24+12+99)/10 + 1 = 13.5+1 = 14.5 Luck Now keep in mind most characters have about half as much Luck if not worse and we will be rolling about half as well on average, which brings us down to about 7-8 Other = [( { [(Main parent's stat addition * 2) + Secondary parent's stat addition] / 10 }+ level*stat growth) mod 15] + Child's class base stat Let's look at Levin/Fury again here. Levin has a base of 16 Speed while Fury has 18 Speed. Their class bases are 10 and 12 respectively, so the stat additions are 6 for both of them (how convenient). This gives us (18/10 + 14*0) % 15 + 15 = 1.8 + 15 = 16.8 Speed Note that the stat addition and growths here are taken as a modulo. This is why Levin!Sety's Speed often loops around. Normally, we'd get something like: { [ (15*2) + 12] / 10 + [14*1.05] } % 15 + 15 ( [42/10] + 14.7) % 15 + 15 = 19.2 % 15 + 15 = 19.2 Speed So, since parents are contributing 1, MAYBE 2 points above the base, most children's stats will similarly only be 1-2 points above their class bases.
