No, I'm sure the killing for the sun thing is another thing. This one about the skin wearing was for another thing... I don't remember. Probably something regarding the fertility of the land, since most of the time those sacrifices were young virgin women.... I think. Young adults, most likely, since the priests were the ones who wore the skin, if I remember correctly. I'm actually obsessed with the Villager meme that spawned off of the SSB4 announcement and don't care much about his addition to SSB4. I guess. They start to bicker as the other watch. Meanwhile in the Nadesico, ZM’s leg has finally healed and he’s eager to finally get into action. Samven is glad since it means he can stop piloting, but Garland tells him that until the supplemental pilots arrive, he still has to. Samven doesn’t want to, but ZM cheers him up by putting a video from their favorite anime, Gegikanger. On the bridge, AceTactician orders take off. Vashiane points out they could meet up with us in space, but Ace says that they’ll worry when that time comes. Back on the Argama, turns out RedFox’s message was that the group on Earth will be receiving help from JamesBCrazy, the millionaire. Also, the Nadesico has been spotted heading to space. Looks like the plans changed slightly, we’re going to intercept them. Back on the deck, Crystal has left Sanger alone to his tinkering; having given up trying to make him understand it’s futile. Meanwhile, the Zeons have reached their destination, the flagship of Lightli’s fleet. Also on board are Tsamimi and Ayanami. They talk about how with many aces gathered, their plan will succeed. However, just then a soldier announces they’ve detected the Argama! As expected, they deploy to fight us. Nightmare detects that Ayanami is near, and vice versa. Sanger gets reckless and deploys. Tsamimi also moves forward and they exchange blows. As expected, the GP-01’s performance is very faulty, and so DLV and I deploy too to get Sanger back safe to the Argama. The rest of our forces deploy as well. Stage Begin! A couple turns in, the Nadesico shows up as expected. They’re worried they run into a war zone. The Zeons meanwhile, recognize it and, realizing that currently there’s friction between us, they want to contact them to recruit them on their side. At this they deploy more units. Boney is the one to contact them. However, Ace gives the same answer they gave us: they’re going to Mars and won’t be changing their plans. Unfortunately, this makes the Zeons change their plans to sink them too, so Samven and ZM deploy to protect the battleship as it’s gonna break through the battle zone. For now our plans remain to attack the Zeons. Enemy reinforce CaptainAmerica (Lv13) – Zeong Boney (Lv13) – GP-02 Ayanami (Lv12) – Elmeth Neutral reinforce AceTactician (Lv10) – Nadesico Samven (Lv10) – Aestevalis Samven [OG] ZM (Lv10) – Aestevalis Gai [OG] (nicknamed Aestevalis ZM due to sharing name case) Stage secret! First secret of the space route, the Nadesico and Aestevalises will head straight north until they’re off the map. As this happens, if either one of them is defeated or reaches below 30%, ZM will pull a heroic sacrifice to allow the others to escape. This takes it to its logical conclusion: if all of them survive the map, either by escaping or us routing the Zeons, ZM will live. CA and co. all retreat if their HP gets low enough. Other than the pseudo “escort” of the Nadesico and co., it’s a standard stage. The stage will also end once they leave the map, so better ensure they can leave by moving off the map to maximize gains by defeating the Zeons. Once it’s over, we contemplate on getting away of the area, but just then, three more Aestevalises appear. They’re KittyofTime, Hatari, and Carter. They were supposed to join up with the Nadesico, but now were left behind. They’re wary of our presence, but without the Nadesico, their mechas are losing energy fast, and so have no choice but to dock at the Argama. In the medical office, Sanger finally realizes he was wrong all along, but Crystal at this point is only relieved that he is alright. One the bridge, we get yet another transmission from Saint, and comes with surprising news. It seems Nergal has finally opened up their mouths, and now we no longer need to keep pursuing the Nadesico. Some people from Nergal will come over to us, so in the meantime, our mission is back to stopping the Zeons. Well that’s just great; we gave the Nadesico a bad impression and all for nothing. Meanwhile the girls from before are being interrogated. At first they’re not saying much, but once they get message Nergal is now in okay terms with the Federation, and Nightmare’s arrival, to which Carter starts to fangirl over, they open up. Kitty even said “Oh my” at that latter part… why did I have to then think of that emoticon? Why!? Meanwhile in the Nadesico, they’ve taken notice that the supplemental pilots are nowhere to be found, so they decide to wait a little. ZM meanwhile is eager to start training for the next battle. And by training, I mean Owain or Cynthia type training of heroic battle entrances. Oh boy… Note: This isn’t something you learn by going through the Space route, but if Cammy joined us, then in the Earth route’s Scenario 9, Emerald will pull a heroic sacrifice by self-destructing to damage Aethern’s ship, due to learning Cammy is not only alive but on our side, so for her sake, Emerald does this. Instead of, you know, joining us as well. Well damn. It’s futile in that it doesn’t kill Aethern, but at least makes a good dent on his ship. I don’t know what happens if Cammy wasn’t recruited, but most likely Emerald still dies but instead when defeated the old fashioned way. Either way, it’s the first death in this game. Also, it’s at this point I realize that Emerald’s character was a woman all along, due to not reading this specific part of the script when assigning characters.
