how can you judge something as bad when you haven't played it

Because I think its mechanics stink worse than that snake carcass that was in my yard the other day.

They're actually not that bad if you know how to work around them. The game is more than playable. The game gives you so many good units. The game gives you so many tools to make even MARTY usable.

FE5 is quite similar to Tellius gameplaywise.

However there are some features, which make this game artifically harder like:

  • no guaranteed hits and misses
  • fatigue (units can be suspended for the next chapter)
  • different RNG (you easily can miss with 99% and get hit with 1%)
  • some unfair chapters for blind players

Hmm, the only one I'd find a problem with if I played it would be the fatigue system. On the other hand, I don't know how's teh availability of Stamina Drinks, to know if it can really become a hassle or not.

I can live with everything of it except for the non existing 0 and 100% hitrate and some chapter designs like 9 and 24x, which are pretty much impossible to beat without any preknowledge.

The fatigue system is a good idea, but isn't implemented very well. There should be a generic limit of total battle exp. in each chapter independent of the units' level. It's absolute annoying not have a dancer in each chapter.

I didn't mention the part about my anti-Jugdral prejudice (mostly because it ain't exactly a secret).

Fatigue can die in a fire. Or a hole. I don't care which. The no guaranteed hits and misses thing is also a dealbreaker.
