Favorite Star Trek captain?

The idea for this topic had been bouncing around my head for a while. I'll probably refrain from voting until I finish Voyager and watch all of Deep Space 9 and TOS but my fave's probably gonna stay Picard in any case. "Least favorite" is a lot trickier for me ATM.

Absolutely Sisko as my favorite, though I do love Picard, Sisko just can't be beat.

Least favorite is really hard but I guess Janeway because Archer is an amazing asshole.

I don't really dislike any of them, but I suppose Kirk is the most wasteful. I appreciated Picard's capability to attempt to uphold the ethics of the Prime Directive despite his own personal beliefs (most of the time). It brought a deeper philosophical discussion of action, rather than actiony-action present in most of the Star Trek before and after this one.

Sisko is cool, but Jean Luc Picard is far and away my favorite.

Oh, and my least favorite captain is Archer or Janeway. I am not sure which.

I'm giving best to Picard because I'm only 3 seasons through DS9. Sisko's definitely climbing the ranks, though.

Archer for worst 'cause never watched Enterprise.

I have to say Kirk is my favourite, although Picard isn't far behind. As for worst, I cannot stand Janeway (and Voyager sa a whole).

I voted for Sisko. I actually have a slight preference for Picard, but Sisko seemed woefully underrepresented.

It's worth noting that Sisko's facepalms are on par with Picard's.

Sisko doesn't get enough love. That guy did punch Q in the face after all. Sure, Q acted like he didn't care but it is noteable that this was his first and last appearance on DS9.

Exactly, Q bugged Picard for like seven seasons, then he showed up on Sisko's show, got punched in the face, and never came back. Though, Sisko is also really great for other reasons too.
