Hmm they seem to have implemented the relationship system quite well by making it an extension of the supports sound pretty good to me..

However my question is with being able to have skirmishes and all from the get go of the game doesn't that allow ,lets say Krom and Sumia, to pair from the very beginning? does this mean their children will join at like chapter 5 or something?

You might be able to grind supports and marry right away, but that doesn't mean the kids will magically appear as soon as they get married. I'd guess you have to see a certain event in the story before you get kids (probably once you have most characters in your team), or maybe they can't get S support until a certain point in the story.

I doubt you can have kids on Chapter 2-5.

I know it means nothing to NoA, but one can dream...

Also, now I am curious, anyone have the data of what the other Fire Emblem games scored in Famitsu?

Collected from elsewhere on the site.

Someone on Gamefaqs posted some scans and I didn't see them here. Since this thread is about the last Famitsu, I'll leave the here:

"All (?) units can raise their support levels up to A, but only certain pairs have an S support available. Presumably you raise support to A, get married, then go to S."

EDIT: I refreshed before posting... how could I miss the post above mellow.gif

In the fourth image...is that a market place?

It's no secret that Famitsu's credibility has been thrown out the window in recent years, but a 36 certainly isn't a bad sign.

No difficulty above Lunatic is pretty upsetting though!

Only Normal, Hard, and Lunatic? What happened to Maniac D: D: D:

American release confirmed!

Maybe like that one shopping chapter in Hector mode? On the world map, maybe you could pick a map and some units to go shopping.

I think we found out about that a while ago. I'm confused, as well, but as long as it ultimately gets at least as difficult as FE12 Maniac I'm satisfied.

Reason #4 to buy the Japanese version: Ensuring that the difficulty levels don't get dicked around with

Looks like the supports are turning out as I thought, as well:

-: +10 Hit

C: +10 Hit, +10 Avo

B: +10 Hit, +10 Avo, +10 CEV

A: +10 Hit, +10 Crit, +10 Avo, +10 CEV

S: +15 Hit, +10 Crit, +10 Avo, +10 CEV

Not too happy about being able to support anyone, though. Hopefully support speeds at least will make some pairs viable and the others not so much.

The conversations lend hope to this: perhaps pairs with conversations will support quickly, depending on the pair, while others can be forced, but they'll be really slow and probably require grinding - like the 0 +1 supports in the GBA games.

On an unrelated note, that shop that's selling two staffs? The second one is Rescue.

It was stated in the Iwata Asks interview that there's an unlockable difficulty above Lunatic, but no specifics on whether it's Maniac or a special mode like Reverse.

Well, in FE12, it was Normal - Hard - Maniac - Lunatic, with Reverse as unlockable, so that sounds like the most logical pattern to fit.

Regardless, that's a good sign.

Finally decided to do what the fandom has been doing that for years already, IS?

Oh yeah

It seems only My Unit's waifu/husbando gets a CG

Not that's surprising or anything, but

I combed the magazine and noticed two things, which aren't completely unexpected, but people might be interested in knowing.

1. You can only view one confession scene per playthrough. This pretty much confirms My Unit (and other characters) can't marry more than one character.

2. Various illustrators will be providing artwork for future sets of paid DLC.

Based on what TheEnd said, it sounds like only MU gets the confession scene, but other characters could still get the support bonus with briefer scenes, probably impacting special endings as well. Which fits with the "one per playthrough" while still retaining parts of the system for other character pairs.

This also gives me the idea, once again, that MU will be the only one to have relationships fully played out and involving children. Does this fit everything we know up to this point?

I'm not sure if TheEnd mentioned it, but it seems likely that other characters besides MU can have children. Whenever they talk about children, they always reference "married couples" and not just "My Unit".

I remember hearing about that, but it all depends on the context. Any such couple could have a different MU and a different regular character - and if the "married couples" rules only apply to one couple per playthrough, it makes sense that it would be that one. Doesn't sound like anyone would find it too fun to trigger the event with one pair and then find themselves randomly barred from completing a different pairing. I just can't see a good reason for them to limit it like that if multiple couples would otherwise be possible.
