Okysho
I was just wondering if there's a complete patch for the SNES ROM of FE3 Mystery of the Emblem. I can't seem to find anything past the first two chapters. Anyone?

VincentASM
Have you ever played on an emulator before?
Florete
Have you ever played on an emulator before? yes, the VBA
VincentASM
Well, since FE3 is a SNES ROM, you just need a SNES emulator like ZSNES. Now, have you used a translation patch before :?
Florete
yes, for FE6.
VincentASM
Well, in that case, you can just do the exact same thing for the FE6 patch, but with the FE3 ROM and a SNES emulator XD
Florete
Wow, if only I had known it would be that easy....
Okysho
FE3 is one of the best Fire Emblem games I've ever played! I'm alost at the end of book 1 finally!
Florete
Ok, I can play the game in Japanese, but as soon as I patch it, it no longer will play.
Okysho
Ok, I can play the game in Japanese, but as soon as I patch it, it no longer will play. There should be two patches in the zip file. If one doesn't work, try the other one. Replace the one that made your game "Not work" with the other IPS file. The same thing happened to me, it should work after that
Florete
Is part of this problem the fact that I'm trying FE4, not 3? Or does it make a difference?
VincentASM
Er, the patch is designed to work for FE3 only, so yeah >___
Florete
Don't worry, I'm using the FE4 patch....
VincentASM
I thought something was up :S The FE4 patch should work in exactly the same way, yeah. Perhaps your emulator doesn't support soft-patching. In that case you should download a patching program like IPSWin and hard patch the ROM. You might want to keep a backup of the ROM because the effects are permanent (which is bad when things go wrong or when you want to apply an updated patch). Florete
I'm using IPSWin. Have been the whole time.
VincentASM
Oh, it won't play properly? You might need to add or remove the ROM header (I forgot which one you should do). I know SNESTool can add/remove headers.
Florete
I'll try it when I get back home.
