dondon151
OK, I know this is going to sound like an extraordinarily stupid question, but... How does one typically go about finding, designating, and/or allocating free space in a ROM (specifically, a clean FE7 ROM)?
AstraLunaSol
Free space is typically denoted by a lot of FFs or 00s. To find it you just have to put the rom in a hex editor and look for it manually. (I usually expand the rom a lot just so there's tons of free space at the end of the rom) To allocate free space for FEditor Adv (which I'm assuming you mean to do) you hit delete and select the starting address for the free space, then put how much free space there is. Select Manage Memory afterwards and then click list free space to make sure you did it right. example: http://gyazo.com/ca0...f22e190f9112df2 Edited May 28, 2012 by AstraLunaSol

dondon151
thanks dudes; looks like for a hack of small proportions, just using 0xD00000 to 0xE00000 would be fine
