I didn't even pay attention to Mega Man until I saw a friend playing X at a daycare center. Megaman X5's actually one of my favorite platformers. It's got a lot of difficulty, but replayability with cool unlockables, and everything's just so smooth and looks nice. Never could get into the early look of Megaman, and Zero's overall image and fighting style just doesn't do it for me. He seemed cool as that side guy that was a total badass who you tried to get as strong as, but actually playing as him was lame to me. deleted35362 Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 (edited) I always thought X was cooler because he becomes stronger than Zero as a playable character, even though Zero has an exploited attack where you quickly alternate between slashing and dashing so Zero will repeatedly slash in place like a maniac. ...but X5 has an ability that makes this exploitation unusable... I just feel like Mega Man X games are just better off played using a gun instead of a sword. Zero's still fun to play as though. By the way, X gets the Z saber in X3 and X6. You can play about 1 to 2 minutes of the mute city race on the NES version and hear the mute city music over and over again in chiptune or 8bit or whatever. The Kid Icarus demo is not as good.
