omglmaowtf
Last H1 playthrough attempt my female myrm MU died like wet toilet paper in P2 due to only gaining a +1 Max HP when last leveled So what gender/class is best recommended for H1 MU? Peppy
A lot of classes can be used easily in H1. I'd recommend giving Myrm MU defense bonuses if your really having trouble with Durability.
eclipse
Class - irrelevant. What's relevant is your past/present/future choices. The squishy classes can be not-as-squishy by choosing Farmer's Child (myrmidon really appreciates the extra HP).

Pretty much this use this to help with your MU creation http://www.serenesforest.net/fe12/myunit.html

Dieuw
Mage > cleric MU did very well for me. I took backgrounds to increase skill/speed/hp gain and more or less nothing could stop him once I gave him a dracoshield or two. I imagine it's even easier for females since nosferatu can help you then.
13th
I always liked Fem!Myrm->Cav->Pally for swords-on-a-horse. With males, I'd likely choose Knight->Cav->Draco for flying tank with Gradivus to boot.
Smiley Jim
The spread I use for my avatar is a Knight/Pirate->Draco avatar with the following characteristics: Noble's Child, Diverse, Humanitarian. These characteristics give me a better speed base, as well as giving me more defense growth which allows me to transition into classes like pirate better. The end result is a flying tank with a good balance of offense(str/spd from pirate)and defense(def from knight), plus I get proficiencies in both of draco's weapon types. The reclass paths also allow for other class options to be utilized, such as berserker when I really need the speed cap to double stuff, or even paladin in mage heavy maps. BeamishGull
I recommend a fighter with pretty good defence and speed should make you a nasty axe hero
