Hearing his superior's orders, Nelon knew to follow them. General Seth was a mastermind when it came to tactics, truly the best of his generation. Plus, Nelon could see the reasoning behind it, archers could do nothing if you gave them no time to draw their bows. Responding to Xenah, he reassured the mystic.

"General Seth plans to surround the monster. If we give it no space, it will no longer attack. Perhaps Elaine could... give you a head start? I know it sounds bizarre but it may be our only option."

Nelon moves to 8,3 and attacks with the Oatmeal Spoon.

After some... tense negotiation, Nelon and Xenah return with the four.

"I am General Seth of Renais", he says, "And these are my compatriots: Neimi, Farina, and Colm", indicating them in turn.

"Neimi, Colm... Farina. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am Nelon, knight of Renais. I thank you deeply for assisting General Seth."

With the General satisfied for now, the future of the group was brought into question. Where would they go now? And what of the Miron and the wagon? It had been too long since they'd heard that scream.

"My comrades, perhaps we should check on Miron... I have a bad feeling."

For once, Felix wasn't sure what to say. What the hell was General Seth of Renais doing here, with a bunch of kids at that? His mind wandered a bit, until he thought of the wagon they'd left back there. Hadn't there been a scream? They ought to go check. The general seemed suspicious of them though. Suggesting just to leave right now would probably seem shady to him. It seemed like they had to talk to the man, at least for now.

"How long were you fighting for? The monsters, I mean." Felix asked.

[Terrador]

Farina responds, "It was... perhaps an hour before you arrived. Seth slaughtered so many... but... we couldn't protect one of our own." She glances towards the northwest part of the forest, then quickly looks away.

"You need to check on your friends...? Go ahead. Are they civilians...?"

Colm and Neimi run off to the south village. What are they doing...?

Elaine had been worried that General Seth would outright strike at them, but was thankful that this at least had gone smoothly.

Her worries extended to Miron and his family and that scream. After a brief moment she cut in with Farina and Felix's discussion.. They are merchants, traveling with us. It would be best for us to check on them as soon as possible..

Elaine suddenly speaks up to the rest of the group

"Who would like to come with me to check on Miron and his family? We may have the be careful."

"Also.. I'm sorry to hear your loss of a companion Farina.. We should give them a burial after we check on the wagon. If that is fine with you?"

Who had the scream been from, Ruby? Miron? Aquinas? It had been too far away to tell, and Nelon was rather anxious to find out its owner. Sparing the summoner had been his idea, he hoped his decision had not claimed any of his comrades' lives.

Farina steps forward. "We... certainly. Go on ahead; we'll probably stay in one of these villages for the night, so there's no rush."

Seth seems to be troubled by her use of "we", but he's silenced by a quick glance. My, my, this mercenary sure has the General whipped.

Xenah wasn't too fond of seeing the numbers leave and let her as the only one who'd really talked to General Seth's group out there, but she hoped she wouldn't need to speak up much again.

"It's probably a good choice after these encounters with monsters, yes. Maybe we should see where to settle before it gets too dark."
