shadykid
funny, this presumes Amelia can actually hit an enemy in the first place
Rapier
They throw the weapon, it magically comes back in the hand. I know it's just gameplay but I wish there was an explanation for it. Hand Axes work like boomerangs. Javelins have an almost unoticeable and resillient string tied to the thrower's hand. Swordfighters should have throwng knives, like Aragorn... TheKingOfTown
I think the most likely scenario is that they have the force. Edited June 8, 2013 by TheKingOfTown
Bors
The hand axe and javelin wielding units are actually proficient mages who retrieve said weapons by using their skilled magic.
Steampunk
Same reason why movie heroes can fire 50 shots out of gun that only holds 6 cartridges without having to reload.
Donnel
Thought Ragnell is the only blade? Carrying 10 imposing axe seems fine if it is not thrown.
shadykid
Thought Ragnell is the only blade? Carrying 10 imposing axe seems fine if it is not thrown. FE13 also has Amatsu (FE9/10 obviously have Ragnell shockwaves and magic swords/Wind Edges)
Avarice Shadow
They throw them so hard they travel around the world and arrive back in their hand. This guy knows the truth.
Byte2222
Why do the enemy literally wait their turn and why do weapons break when one swing/poke/cast ago they worked perfectly fine? Fire Emblem is an abstraction, with all of these broadly representing something a real army would/wouldn't have to worry about. In a real battle, a unit would probably carry several javelins/hand axes and would retrieve the ones in dead enemies. Even something like the Wishblade is probably a pair or trio of Wishblades. Shengar
It's what we called MAGIC. Seriously though, this is a limitation/fucklogic that created via the gameplay. Try to come up with something to explain them might create a whole new level of fucklogic/hole or alter the gameplay, like they remove handaxe/javelin and the only 1-2 range lance/axe avaible is Bolt Axe and Shockstick because the developer decided that magically re-appearing thrown weapon is silly. Emperor Hardin
Many artwork and weapon icons feature ropes attached to Javelins and Spears. Presumably, the user pulls the thrown Javelin back via the rope.
