  1. 1. Now he's finished with the current game, what will he do next?

    • Spend time figuring out how to fit Ridley inside the next Smash disc
      8
    • Reboot Donkey Kong Jr. Math
      4
    • Team up with Hideo Kojima for "Mario and Solid Snake at the Olympic Games"

    • Find another way to nerf Zelda even more

YAY! TOON LINK! :D

And two character reveals this month. I was kinda surprised. ^^

I still wish he was based more on the Four Sword saga Links than TWW Link, but TWW is unfortunately the most popular Toon Link game, and the one that got remade, so...

As an aside, I was wondering what exactly was up with Captain Falcon and Ness being starter characters in Melee only to go back to being unlockables in Brawl...

I think it's a numbers thing. He wanted a certain amount newcomers as starters, so many of the Melee characters became unlockable.

TOON LINK'S BACK EVERYONE

It looks so good it hurts.

I'm glad Toon Link's back, but I was rooting for Classic Link.

He looks like clay though. I'm sure it'll be fine but I'd like to see how he plays.

Really rooting for Sonic when Sonic the Lost World comes out.

Ok guys continue to look around release dates for characters or special occasions (28 years of Mario via Peach reveal)

Pokemon Diamond/Pearl: September 28, 2006 (corresponds to Lucario)

Super Mario World: November 21, 1990 (corresponds to Yoshi)

F-Zero (SNES): November 21, 1990 (corresponds to Captain Falcon)

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze: December 6, 2013 (corresponds to Diddy Kong)

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3: January 21, 1994 (corresponds to Wario)

Ice Climber: January 30, 1985 (corresponds to Ice Climbers)

The Legend of Zelda: February 21, 1986 (corresponds to Zelda/Ganon)

Star Fox (SNES): February 21, 1993 (corresponds to Falco)

Wow, freaky coincidence.

Pokemon Red/Green: February 27, 1996 (corresponds to Jigglypuff/Pokemon Trainer)

Kirby's Adventure: March 23, 1993 (corresponds to Meta Knight)

Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryū to Hikari no Tsurugi: April 20, 1990 (corresponds to Marth)

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance: April 20, 2005 (corresponds to Ike)

Mother 3: April 20, 2006 (corresponds to Lucas)

Wow, I wonder if Mother 3's release date matching up with FE1's and FE9's was intentional (I know the 2 FE's are intentional).

Kirby's Dream Land: April 27, 1992 (corresponds to King Dedede)

Star Fox 64: April 27, 1997 (corresponds to Wolf)

Another coincidence?

Ball (the first Game & Watch game): April 28, 1980 (corresponds to Mr. Game & Watch)

Gyromite: August 13, 1985 (corresponds to R.O.B.)

Earthbound (Mother 2): August 27, 1994 (corresponds to Ness)

November is when Zelda: A Link Between Worlds comes out, so we might get Zelda then. :)

Certainly wouldn't be surprised haha

@Shinpichu thanks for those, when I get back I shall look for others like them too

Edit: Wow same dates on quite a few of those releases, freaky. I would think though it would be more on the entire series getting older being the possible reveal points but certain games may happen too.. Gotta keep our eyes out

Let's not forget about the possibility of an unexpected Virtual Console release.

Also, for some potential newcomers:

Nazo no Murasamejou - April 14, 1986(JP) - Takamaru

Golden Sun - August 1, 2001(JP, probably missed the boat on that one), November 11, 2001(US) - Isaac

Donkey Kong Country - November 21, 1994(NA) - King K. Rool

Kid Icarus - December 19, 1986(JP) - Palutena

FE: Sword of Seals - March 29, 2002 (Roy) (trollface_smiley.png)

Mario Tennis - July 21, 2000 (Waluigi)(trollface_smiley.png)

Mewtwo and Lucario might be sneak reveals on their movie release dates considering Sakurai pays attention to the anime and movies when it comes to pokemon

Also consider Lucarios early apperence in the original Mystery Dungeon or him in Mega form in the new anime or Mewtwo being around that Pokemon Origin Ova

Yay, my punching bag is back.

You really don't know when to stop, do you?

Sure he does, he'll stop when we have a Turbo mode in 4

Congrats TL lovers, looking forward to Matrix-esque battles wherein I try to dodge all the shit you throw at me

If there's going to be a Pokemon reveal in October, it's going to be Mewtwo.

The "Want to know more about this character? Visit the official website for this game!" just screams like its looking at Mewtwo because Mewtwo is on the game box. Fairy-type Jiggs isn't.

Also Toon Link being done this early pretty much confirms that if there is going to be another Zelda character, it's going to be Toon Zelda.

I want a Pokemon rep that we havent seen before. It would be great to get a Pokemon we didn't even know existed (but was set to be an It pokemon after Mewtwo these gen), or a new idea involving a trainer.

Oh great, reg Link is inferior again...

I don't see how Toon Link existing = Regular Link sucks. For all we know, Link could have been buffed but kept unique from Toon Link.
