Me neither.

I also liked how Shanan and Aless had the same skill set, bar Pursuit on Shanan. For Aless, I thought it looked pretty bad, while for Shanan, it looked good. Of course, Pursuit is a big factor in that.

At least I have two holy weapon users with Nihil, which means they should be able to hurt Julius.

Awareness only prevents Wrath from activating when Julius has 40 HP and below. They're still going to do little damage.

Only Narga can pierce that.

Yes, I know. But holy weapons easily get 50+ damage, that's enough to do a good number. Julius has 25 defence, so it'd be like 12-15 damage.

He has 25 defense in addition to Loptous' halving damage effect. Max strength Altenna with the Gae Bolg was only doing 8 damage to him, and not even doubling. Doing it without Narga is extremely difficult. If you want to cheese the battle though, use the sleep sword.

Chapter 8 arena done, this is an update with that. Two characters promoted already... I like all my Paragons going around.

Wow, I'm just now realizing that Oifaye has a magic base of 9.

I glossed over it before but when I saw the 10 it suddenly seemed like so much lol.

Yeah Oifey has crazy good base magic for some reason. Even excluding the class base of 5, it's still 4 magic, which is more than most* physical characters will ever have without a magic parent. It's even weirder considering he only has a 5% growth (Which also makes my 10 magic Oifey higher than the average level 30 Oifey :P).

*Brigid and Patty are two exceptions. Brigid has an unusually high 20% magic growth, which she passes on to Patty. Most likely she has it to make her and Adean's growths look more similar (similarly, Adean's strength growth is 20%, only 10% less than Brigid's). That means Patty especially could easily get 4+ magic over her 30 levels.

New characters from chapters 8+9. I had originally intended to put the chapter 8 characters with the chapter 9 post arena video and chapter 9 characters with chapter 10 post arena, but then decided against it, hence the start of the video seems a little weird.

Only Corple is left, and I'm going to put him with the chapter 10 arena, because why not his base stats won't be interesting.

So... that's it for random skills. I'm really enjoying the run though, so don't worry, I'll finish it off. I have a few ideas for what I might do afterwards but there's a good chance it'll be nothing, so eh.

I liked seeing your choices for the characters' inheritance, and also the randomized arrangements (so many Duels).

Maybe you should give one of the Genealogy hacks a try? Genealogy of Neir is a pretty good introductory one, with a nice difficulty balance.

loptous halves attack power, not damage (so 66 attack -> 33 atk - 25 def = 8 dmg)

Yeah, watching that video I kind of figured it out. That kind of makes things trickier. Normally the only people who can reasonably take Julius on are Julia and Celice, and without Nihil, they're gonna struggle. Still Ares and Shanan can at least slowly chip him down, and Julia can deliver the final blow, I suppose. I'll deal with it when I get there.

For now though chapter 9's arena is done, character stat update. Dem sexy high character levels.

Chapter 10 character stats. I tried to make it short. I guess I do have 23 characters now, which is the most I've ever started a chapter with, so I didn't do too badly. Mostly I think I just talked faster (lol).

I've decided to throw one more surprise twist into the endgame. I'm not going to say what it is until I get there, but it's something that's probably guessable (I will not confirm guesses as being correct or not but feel free to make them).

Edit: Something I forgot to mention in both this and the last videos: I didn't sell Julia's stuff. I forgot about it during chapter 9 wanted an extra challenge in the endgame. That's the reason. Definitely.

Progress update: I've completed the game.

I've recorded a massive slot of potential content - 90 minutes, of which I'll probably make two or three videos, and cut down on stuff, but it'll still be probably at least an hour's content for viewing.

Right now however, I'm afraid I must sleep. And tomorrow I'm out, and the day after, so... I may get one video online tomorrow but that'd be it.

Endgame up to the Deadlords. This video features the surprise I was mentioning, skip to half way through if you want to see it. Hopefully this video should be a little more entertaining than the last ones.

Next video will contain the Deadlords and Julius fights, or bits thereof. Final video will be a final character stat summary as well as my rating. Neither of those videos will be put online until Monday at the earliest.

I was going to make a video of fighting the wrathlords but unless there's considerable demand, I probably won't bother. I don't think it was that entertaining and it'll take a while to process and upload.
