Mel attempts to dodge the arrows, barely managing to do so as one of them falls and plants itself right next to her foot. With a sigh of relief, she aims carefully at the charging Moblin and blasts him squarely in the chest leaving him barely clinging on to life.

Evan tried to avoid getting hit by an arrow, but one of the soldiers was too close to him while he was trying to dodge, knocking into the man and ending up taking a shot anyways.

Wincing at the arrow poking out of his left arm, Evan just charged the boss Moblin, impaling it on his sword and killing the creature

Boris accepted the dog's mission, but questioned whether this was the most valuable use of his time. The toy ball would at least make things less boring during camp, but nothing more than that. He wondered if the human half of their party was having a more interesting adventure...



In the jewelers, Boris examined the merchandise with little interest. He was used to getting everything he needed from the woods around him, so he wasn't in a hurry to go on a spending spree. The vision would have proven useful should he happen to be in the area, however. The winged bear tossed 5 rupees to the blue snake for a hint on a nearby ring, because there wasn't enough stuff to look for as is.

Andrea heads outside with her new-found magic prowess. Boris does too, after seeing the place where a ring is.

The boss moblin is defeated! Evan's attempt at dodging out of the way has knocked down the other soldiers however, and none of them can attack this turn! In addition, he takes 3 damage from the tumble.



The other three minions attack the group too, aiming for the soldiers.





Minion 1: 8 HP

Soldier 1: 13 HP

Tch. "Nice going oaf. Next time, try to stay upright?" With that, Mel stepped forward and blasted the nearest minion. "You three should really run away. Your boss is down and you'll soon be following if you don't run."

"We should probably go find those soldiers. Also, let me know if you happen across a large bone. Don't ask."

With that, Boris' attention turned southward, wondering if the soldiers wandered that way.

You feel like it takes you a week to get to the beach, but you make it. You see several wild animals about, but the Sea Urchins could likely have something inside them and seem least likely to fight back. None of the monsters really seem like they would harm you, so as long as you try and stay out of their way and avoid danger, you should get through without fighting them. You could follow the shoreline either way, but you smell the scent of citrus as well as fish coming from the East, and you feel a strange heat coming from the West. The dungeon the princess spoke about doesn't seem to be here though.

Everyone manages back to their feet. The big moblin dropped a stick, which.....is a great reward? You guess? Eh, maybe it will come in handy. You stick it in the bag. Mel harms one of the minions, but they seem a bit scared after their boss was defeated thanks to Mel's great marksmanship, and none of them harm you this turn.

Mel grinned. "Well, you had your chance to run. Time to start wrapping this up." With that, she pointed her blaster at Minion 2 and hit it squarely in the chest, blowing him backwards and leaving him barely alive. She spun her blaster around and grinned threateningly at the remaining minions.

"No bone, but perhaps a desert to the west?" Though there was no bone or soldiers, Boris sensed heat coming west. If it were a desert, then he had the opportunity to check out that fortune the snake thing was talking about.

"Someone at the jeweler mentioned a treasure in a desert area. Had to pay some rupees for that info and I want my money's worth." The flying bear headed westward to check out the source of the heat. He hoped it was worth it; the smell of fish and citrus was very tempting.

Andrea and Boris carefully sneak around the Sea Urchins, where sneaking is the same thing as defying danger using Agility.

Boris: 6 (+0) = Failure!



Andrea stumbles and is unable to continue farther, while Boris takes 3 points of damage. It appears some Small Beetles have taken residence around the Red Fruit Tree and would need to be taken care of to retrieve the fruit, however the Jellyfish off-shore have noticed the two taking a tumble and would come after them as well. It may be too dangerous to continue, but you can either try to fight them or head back.

Boris: 18 HP

Thanks to Evan targeting the third minion, the knights are handily able to clean up. They thank the duo greatly, and head back to their commander. Evan also picks up the 10 Rupees that were dropped. Mel heads over to the tree and grabs the fruit. 3 Yellow Fruit are added to the bag. They smell earthy, and almost dirty. They also seem to be cool to the touch as well. You might try to eat them or something.



There's also a hut off in the distance and the last knight!

"You okay big guy?" Andrea asks as she dusts herself off. She eyes the urchins. "I've heard that they're a delicacy if they're cooked right. I just happen to have the tools, too!"

Andrea rolls a 7 when attempting to burn the Sea Urchins. She must choose one effect.

The spell draws unwanted attention or puts someone on the spot.

The GM removes a tag from the spell and it deals -1 damage.

The spell drains your energy giving you a -1 to Intelligence rolls for a short time.

I'll take the -1 Intelligence for a bit, and "a bit" had best not be "for the entirety of the story".

Boris growled as one of the urchins hit him. Clearly, walking around them wasn't going to work, and mauling them would expose his paws to the spikes. He decided to get in a defensive position in order to provide cover for Andrea.

"Get behind me and keep frying them! I'll be fine!"

Andrea blasts the Sea Urchins with Flame. She deals 3, 2, and 5 damage to each Sea Urchin. Boris takes a defensive position in front of Andrea.





However, they can't actually move so they're little less than blockades or farming creatures. They do not attack.



Sea Urchin 1: 5 HP


Sea Urchin 2: 6 HP


Sea Urchin 3: 3 HP



The perfect defensive perimeter formed, Boris gains 3 hold. Boris is defending Andrea. As long as he stands in defense, when he or Andrea is attacked he may spend hold, 1 for 1, to choose an option:


  • Redirect an attack from the thing you defend to yourself
  • Halve the attackā€™s effect or damage
  • Open up the attacker to an ally giving that ally +1 forward against the attacker
  • Deal damage to the attacker equal to your level (1)

Mel escorts the soldier back to his commander. The commander heartily thanks her and gives her a Knight's Shield. This trusty shield will add +1 to Defending rolls as well as +1 to counterattacks while defending.

Evan sticks around in the East, but he heads north to investigate and notices a Warp Portal. If he sprinkles some Warp Powder on it, he'll be able to head to any previously seen portals.

Taking a quick look at your map, there are warp portals at D8 and J8 respectively.





(Forward just buffs an ally's hit role/other actions like parley or something by 1)
