darkkfan
Oh wow, I didn't enlist any mages.... Maybe the children? Yeah, I guess, although it'd be hard with all those physical oriented pairings. You could always stick Fred with someone for decent durability, skills, and bases, but he has terrible MAG modifiers IIRC. I still think Tharja would probably be your best bet since Miriel would be hell to train with that demand for earlygame exp and lolHenry. I wonder how viable staffabuse!Lissa would be as a Sage for this kind of thing.

Interceptor
I wonder how viable staffabuse!Lissa would be as a Sage for this kind of thing. Her stats are very modest if you promote her right out of Cleric. I've had my best success with people who are single or double-reclassed into a tier 1 before promotion. You'd probably want to swing though Troubadour first. This takes away Sage, but gives you Valkyrie, which honestly is still pretty good. Maribelle takes a reverse route, but she can go through Mage in tier 1, which gives you an attacker to use in the interim.

darkkfan
Maribelle seems like a decent option the way Interceptor put it (although chapter 5 is a bit late to start all that staff abuse IMO), but hey I'm always one for making it more masochistic (no bows, no magic, hell why not just ban ranged attacks all together)! PM ME MARIANNE ART
Aside from that, there are plenty of great guides out there that can help you get through the early chapters now. My only other small piece of advice is that you don't make the mistake I made and overuse Fred and promote everyone too early; the midgame chapters will be a breeze if you do, but lategame will be extremely difficult if not impossible. How will late game be difficult if everyone is promoted early? I plan to be using capped second gens by then. This is a grind run. Anyway, what about classes? Nobody has really given me tips on that. Kuroi Tsubasa Tenshi
That's the kind of run that would be possible, but require an insane amount of luck. There'd be a lot of relying on crit-gibs to deal with Counter. Pavise+ can be bypassed dual strikes (although that's another luck factor). I suspect the mid-late game would require a lot of Rescue abuse. And yes, we did discuss an MU-less run and I still plan to give it a go sometime in the future. I just haven't really been in the mood to deal with those early Lunatic+ chapters again yet, though. To add on to the Def asset shilling, the +4 to Def cap really makes a lot of squishier classes viable several chapters longer than they normally would be. Generally speaking, once MU starts snowballing, anything that doesn't have Luna+ will cry with sad as they fail to do anything resembling significant damage to MU. Interceptor
Anyway, what about classes? Nobody has really given me tips on that. Does it matter? If you are grinding, you can more or less roll with any random combination of classes. You'll have some trouble if you are melee-heavy, but Galeforce will fix a lot of those problems. It doesn't really matter what classes or units you use if you are doing a grind run. I suggest you just follow SoC's or Interceptor's guides for the first 5 chapters and then the rest of the game is a breeze if you are going to grind everyone to caps (as long as you still look out for counter, of course). You'll have some trouble if you are melee-heavy, but Galeforce will fix a lot of those problems. It matters to me, because I don't know what class to make them. Also, I got this layout on chapter two: Barbarian on mountain (Vantage+) Merc two spaces away from him (Hawkeye) soldier in the forest near them (Vantage+) soldier in fort luna+ Barbarian under the east fort (hawkeye) easternmost soldier (hawkeye)merc in the forest near them (hawkeye) barbarian on bridge (luna+) soldier on bridge (vantage+) and I'm not too worried about the rest. My problems are that I can't get everyone away from the enemies. My avatar has 9 str, 6 mag, 8 skl, 9 spd, 5 lck, 14 def, and 7 res. Fred has 23 uses of his silver lance left. Is this a good layout? I've had trouble from all the hawkeye, but I figured the lack of luna+ would help a lot.
kDog214
Anyways, worry about your pairings after you've gotten past those initial chapters. Dude, you are either impatient or taking this man's resources for granted. It pretty much highlights the strategy you should be using for Chapter 2. Have a look at it, I say. Also, at various points, you will have to learn how to adapt to your environment and create your own strategies. No strategy is 100% guaranteed or bulletproof on Lunatic+. And when you get to Chapter 3, learn how to use Transfer (this you should start picking up on by Chapter 2) and Remove weapons as they will be your best friends. Everyone here is right, classes don't matter, especially in a grind run. If you want my input, Myrmidion->Mercenary->Hero. Can't tell you how many times Vantage and Sol have saved my ass. Oh, and btw, +Spd/-Def is doable and I've definitely made it to Chapter 3 before...but then I decided I really didn't like the asset/flaw and deleted it. xD If you ever want +Spd always go with -Lck as Walmart has suggested. I was on at midnight. I was tired. And I honestly didn't even notice that the video had chapter two in it. Sorry if I've been a douche. EDIT: I finally beat chapter two! Only problem is, I lost like three people. I'm just going to go on (it's casual, for some reason I only unlocked that) because I really don't want to redo that level. Interceptor
It matters to me, because I don't know what class to make them. Then get Galeforce on as many people as possible, and I'd also recommend swinging through Hero for Sol wherever you can. As long as you have a bunch of people with this setup, and healers behind them, that should ameliorate the effect of sending overpowered units after enemies that have Counter. Variety is usually better for Lunatic+, so a balance of weapon and damage types will help you out.
