That said I don't think that the behaviors many here exhibit is due mostly to anonymity but more because of the way in which we interact. Face-to-face communication is simply nothing like that of an internet message board, and identity has nothing to do with the social quirks we've formed by using one. In other words, anything I'd say here I'd say on Facebook. I might be more comfortable talking shit about someone than there, and in THAT case anonymity is relevant, but in terms of actual word usage there's no difference.
