bridatass Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 (edited) Hi, I'm bridatass and I've just bought Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Apart from breifly glancing through the forums I have no idea which characters in this game are good and how hard it is as I've never had the opportunity to play it...Until now. Basically what I would like is for people to pick me really crappy units so I have to struggle my way to victory and from what I've heard so far is you're always gaining new units and losing ones you have so I'll be going into each chapter unaware of what units I'll have for each mission. I will be playing the game on normal mode and will hopefully have this finished in a week/two weeks (Fingers crossed!) and I will be importing my PoR save data ;). Pick away! 1.Fiona - Our first unknown character, how bad will she be and is she salvageable? 2.Meg - Meg, I've heard a lot about this character and there seems to be much controversy surrounding her, which side will I find myself standing on. 3.Llyana - Ahh good old Llyana, one of my favourites from my PoR, on to Rexthunder! 4.Oliver - The only bishop in Fire emblem who looks like a legitimate peadophile. 5.Gareth - A Goldoan dragon enters the fray! 6.Brom - The beautiful Brom is back to slowly wreak havoc to his victims...at knights pace. 7.Rolf - The unit who never knew how to fight back in an enemy phase. 8.Lyre - I speak nothing but the "trooth" 9.Astrid - If she comes into this game at level 1 as well I may just hang myself. 10.Leonardo - DiCaprio making his first appearance. 11.Bastian - Fire emblems version of DMC3's Jester. 12.Rhys - The loveable preist who didn't really do much...at all on PoR. 13.Laura - Another unknown character..Couldn't be that bad...Surely? 14.Danved - The strangest man I have ever seen, I wonder where he went after the events of PoR? 15.Oscar - Suprisingly accurate for someone without any eyes 16.Janaff - I had to pick one unit! And as far as I'm aware apart from Gareth (who I assume isn't going to be around until the end) There aren't any laguz, besides I'm bored of waiting! I'll have two archers in him and Rolf then :D) I know it's still early days but this guy isn't bad! After having him use the dracoshield he isn't taking much damage either. DiCaprio is really pulling through for me but I have a sneaky feeling he might not be around much longer, more level ups like this please! Unfortunatly having to use Edward as a meatshield as otherwise this chapter would be nigh on impossible ;( See ya ;D Onto the next chapter we go! Dicaprio is getting stronger... And stronger... Using archers as meatshields, what has the world come to? That earlier gain in strength coming in useful already! And even stronger! My reaction = ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ PRECIOUSSS!!!!! Holy crap! Using blossom in FE9 really paid off didn't it Sothe? Damnit... C'mon I can practically smell the steel bow from here! Excellent, now you're a little bit better at nothing Takes notes Laura! There is a point when meatshielding becomes ridiculous... Soon after getting my Steel bow :) At this point...Even Oliver is looking good. A nice critical on the boss always goes well. We live to see another day! An archer and a thunder mage on the frontlines, YOLO! ...Naaaah! Waste of EXP! Llyana kicks ass! Period! Shooting through walls what could possibly go wrong? C'mon DiCaprio you're better than that! Not bad I guess This isn't going to be easy...Baby steps now Bridatass...Baby steps. Reinforcements came in which took me by suprise but thankfully I'm able to cope :D Quite lucky here, better capitalize on it Dodged another two attacks after that somehow! The luck level is over 9000!!! Dodged and hit a critical ^_^ God damnit...More reinforcements? Horrible! Just horrible! Steel bow broke...Now things get interesting... You suck Meg! Forges paying off already! Good thing I bought two as I think this unit is definitly going to need it. C'mon DiCaprio... Oh come on!!! Getting beyond the joke now... Getting a little bit better now :D Never mind... Go on Meg!!! take him down!!! :) This unit sucks! Sword locked too! Never mind! I like Meg :) Meg pretty much soloing the second half of this map, might master seal her later! Gotta be honest I was expecting more from Ashnards son... Time for some bonus exp! ....Not many units available but you gotta work with what you have Ouch! Time for DiCaprio to get the hell outta here! Hammer time, this could be bad news for Meg Griffin but thankfully we have a plan... <(^_^)> HOLY CRAP!!! How am I going to deal with this? You know it's bad when your tank is almost dead and your mage is on the frontline with full hp... Time for some drastic level ups! On to the west now and Meg shall head there alone because you know she is a tank, albeit the worst tank I have ever lied eyes on. Everything BUT defence, that thing knights are reknowned for. Been forgetting the last few level ups for Laura but there we go anyway! This could be painfu- Never mind... DEFENCE!!! Needed as well as hp was getting dangerously low at times... To only three units... DiCaprio, DiCaprio, DiCaprio... 2 Defence levels in a row? it took 11 levels for 2 defence levels before! And time to finish off the chapter! The only decent units on your team that aren't forced are Janaff and Oscar. Also, how are you taking those pictures? I'm using PuuSh links for the pictures :D Yes I realize it's one of the worst possible teams but I was told this game was tediously easy and so I was going to start it on hard mode and for that to work I need to beat normal mode first so I thought I would make it a bit more difficult by doing a challenge from the get-go. If I did it with good units like Tauroneo who looks AMAZING at this point then I'd complete the game too fast and I wanna take it slow and enjoy it :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
