Nicolas
IMO yes. And sage also has better animation in FE6.

Klokinator
any fe6 animation <<<<<<<< any fe7/8 animation except for rogue and ranger
Book of Ereshkigal
I don't think Rogues are in FE6? Edited October 9, 2013 by L95
RJWalker
That's the joke.
Klokinator
Well that's the joke yeah, but also rogue and ranger are just plain terrible animations.
Nicolas
Ranger with bow isn't that bad. Ranger with sword is that bad. However, they are still one my favorite class in FE8.
BrightBow
Do Bishops even have different sprites? The only thing I remember is the Sage critical being silent and Ballistiae actually having battle animations. Which definitely was better then seeing a siege engine poke in the vague direction of the army. Edited October 9, 2013 by BrightBow

BrightBow
Wow, I can't believe I never noticed that. Of course NoA wouldn't have accepted the FE6 Bishop anyway because of the cross on his coat.

Didn't Natasha have the cross on her coat though? I don't know, but IIRC, she did.
Nicolas
Yeah, she has, but it's not very visible. And didn't NoA accepted Castlevanie, the game in which you can throw a cross as boomerang?
Irysa
I dont know if Nicolas' FE7/8 gba sprite thing is broke for Sage but I definitely prefer 6's Sage because they do not have a silly half skirt tunic half toga thing. FE6 is just pants and a top. Saul probably had the best Bishop sprite until FE11. http://www.feplanet.net/sprites-archive-battle-sheets/7/294/2 http://www.feplanet.net/sprites-archive-battle-sheets/6/1183 Is Erk's right leg actually exposed? Is he not wearing trousers? Edited October 9, 2013 by Irysa
BrightBow
Yeah, she has, but it's not very visible. And didn't NoA accepted Castlevanie, the game in which you can throw a cross as boomerang? Well, initially they called the crosses boomerangs and the holy water Firebombs among other changes. Not sure when they stopped doing that but I would have guessed that even during the GBA era, they would at least avoid these kind of controversies with games they develop themselves since their own developers don't have the option to develop for other platforms, Edited October 9, 2013 by BrightBow
Ike-Mike
I think there's something strangely endearing about the abundance of bowl cuts in FE6 battle sprites.
PM ME MARIANNE ART
The sprites are definitely better than the other two.
Paper Jam
Ellen and Natasha look the same to me, other than Natasha having a few extra animation frames. http://www.feplanet.net/sprites-archive-battle-sheets/e/1194 http://www.feplanet.net/sprites-archive-battle-sheets/n/477 Edited November 23, 2013 by Paper Jam
Book of Ereshkigal
Yeah, FE8 uses some animations from FE6, notably the female archer and female bishop, touched up a bit though. Artur and Moulder use edits of the FE7 bishop(Lucius), though . Edited December 8, 2013 by L95
Titamon
Some of FE6's sprites are pretty ugly to me
Icon of Sin
Female Archer and Bishop were custom to their characters in FE7, among others such as Guy, Raven, the Reed bros, Lucius and more.
