renegadeandy
Hey guys - I feel like I am stuck at chapter 19 and I may not be able to beat it... This is my army: 1/Chrom - Cavalier level 18 2/Andy (me) - Grandmaster level 14 3/Panne - Taguel Level 29 4/Gregor - Bow Knight Level 10 5/Anna - Trickster Level 14 I simply dont seem to have enough players in my army....everyone else has been killed. I dont know how to get new players, I have done all the side missions etc? Can somebody help!
Airship Canon
... yeah... if that's it, you might want to restart (the whole game, not a mission). You could get a bunch of Einherjar, but 5 playables, at those levels... ouch. Edited November 19, 2013 by Airship Canon
Redwall
If you still have some gold, you can reclass the Avatar to a Sorceror and buy a bunch of Nosferatu tomes.
renegadeandy
Who is my Avater? I really dont have much gold - how much would that take?
PKL
Your Avatar is the character you made. Which you seemed to have named Andy and is a Grandmaster currently. Go to your inventory, select Second Seal and use it on him then select Sorcerer. Then go buy 20 Nosferatu tomes. You can suddenly still beat the game. ButteredToast
A single Nosferatu tome cost 980 gold, and you can buy it at the location where Chapter 13 takes place. I think you should really start over. But I commend you for not giving up when you're that low on characters.
renegadeandy
I am going to give this a go! Not sure how its going to work - i shouldnt have spent so much of my 30k gold on upgrading my weapons!
ButteredToast
Oh, the forging high xD I remember specifically upgrading my weapons in Path of Radiance, and I was SOOO LOW on gold that I had to sell my other weapons in order to get essential items from the shop. It was not a good idea. But props to ya, renegadeandy. It's a learning process :)
renegadeandy
Why would I need to buy 20 tomes? DO you mean 20/20 so I can use the tome 20 times on my Andy avatar? In which case presumably all I need is 980 gold?
Interceptor
Why would I need to buy 20 tomes? DO you mean 20/20 so I can use the tome 20 times on my Andy avatar? In which case presumably all I need is 980 gold? Because Andy is going to solo the rest of the game for you. If you don't have the funds for it, you may need to sell some things or make do with lesser weapons for a while.
renegadeandy
I see - ok I beat chapter 19, lost Anna. So now my team is down to 4. Will there be any opportunity to secure new team members in my ride to defeating the game?
Interceptor
Three more people are left. One is in a Paralogue, and two are automatic join in Ch23. Child units, if you have any, would be the only other ones.
Gaia
Unless you were playing with a, "play it where it lies" attitude, why didn't you restart when any characters died?
Redwall
Unless you happen to have any Chest Keys lying around, you should restart for Anna, who can net you a fair bit of gold by raiding some of the chests in the upcoming chapters (the most notable one being a Bullion in Ch 21). renegadeandy
Its my first ever fire emblem game so I am just learning. I wanted to play until I couldnt make it any further - its meant ot be played like that I am not just a oops he died restart kinda player. I have made it to chapter 21 now without loosing any more, still got my 4! I will keep posting progress! Really enjoying the game! A real sense of accomplishment when my little task force gets the job done! Nosfertasu was a great bit of advice! Thanks - got the Sol on my knight now so he regens occasionally too. Shev
You are rocking the path I could not when I started. I started over, kudos to you for forging on ahead with your minimized team.
Aquakat
I'm… incredibly impressed. I would've lost patience by this point. Kudos!
PrinceLeaf
Someone give this man a medal for not starting over. No matter how much I try, it is impossible for me to move on if a unit dies. You said this is your first fire emblem? How do you like it so far? Are you thinking about playing some of the other games after completing it? Oh and welcome to the forum! renegadeandy
Hahah yeah - thanks! I am really very very tempted to play another although I dont know what my options are? I have a 3ds, nintendo wii, nintendo wii u, x360 and ps3...
ButteredToast
For the Nintendo Wii, there's Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, which is a sequel to the gamecube game Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. Pretty good game, if you ask me :)
Interceptor
Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn are both solid, but they are a step back mechanically from this title (especially PoR). They are fun, though. Radiant Dawn was actually my first FE game.
Nobody
If you have nothing against emulation, you could try blazing sword, one of the gba games. It's really good, and very easy to get into.
Randa
Or you can play shadow dragon. Not the greatest game but its a good challenge on the higher difficulties. If you are unopposed to emulation heros is a good game, geanology has its own following but I can't say would recommend it at this point. It's just too different. renegadeandy
Wow that looks like quite a rare game - seems expensive - I will definitely get this! Playing awakening right now battling at chapter 21! With my team of 4!
PrinceLeaf
If you're not against emulation, I recommend FE4: Genealogy of the Holy War. The one I don't recommend at the moment is FE5: Thracia776. Trust me, its hard.
