I mention this because, rather surprisingly, there are a lot of lords, main characters of their games, that don't. I hate overly "manly" designs. What about FE9? He's overrated. I don't think so. He gets a lot of praise as a unit in FE10 and does deserve it. I don't see many people calling him amazing in FE9. As character, it's your opinion I guess, but I can't see many glaring problems with how he's written He is gods awful in SSBB. I dare say Roy was better. I'm sorry for being blunt, but this is wrong. Ike simply has more going for him in Brawl than Roy does in Melee. Did I mention I find him boring? Moreso than any other lord, even ones others call generic. See the top of the post. His character rubs me the wrong way. You don't disrespect nobility in mideval based societies. Ever. I thought it made sense, given his upbringing. Also, it actually gets him into a bit of trouble.(there aren't any consequences for it admittingly, but the fact that he actually recognizes it as a mistake is a lot more than many other Lords do) I have no idea how that post took so long by the way. FE9 Ike isn't much better tbh.But it doesn't make sense. Commoners know they're below nobles, much more the Empress. In reality, that kind of act would get his head on the chopping block before you could say Stupid Boy. There's some bias for a character type in the SSB thing, I hate uber slow characters. Roy has nice Dash speed in a game where dashing didn't involve gambling, while Ike is often left open because his attacks and movement is slow.
