Pull My Devil Trigger
What's wrong with EotSD? Dropping the "the" is weird English, since the of is abbreviated here. it doesn't even have that "the" it's "the Embodiement of Scarlet Devil", but that "the" is usually dropped besides if everyone already uses EoSD why would you want to use something different Edited November 4, 2014 by FaIa
Freohr Datia
They're not abbreviations either They're initials It is true that sometimes prepositions are not used in initials/acronyms, but of course emphasis on "sometimes" I don't fully understand the pattern of when to or when to not include those words Edited November 4, 2014 by Freohr Datia
Makaze
it doesn't even have that "the" it's "the Embodiement of Scarlet Devil", but that "the" is usually dropped besides if everyone already uses EoSD why would you want to use something different Some things in English beginning with 'the' have the 'the' appended to the end with a comma. If you were to look it up in a library index you might get "Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, The". Edited November 4, 2014 by Makaze

Makaze
? what does that have to do with it? I think the 'The' is removed when at the beginning of the title specifically.

Julius Nepos
The full title is '東方紅魔郷 ~ the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil'. Disregarding the Japanese we are left with 'the Embodiment of Scarlet Devil'. As Makaze noted, initial 'the' is omitted, making the initialism 'EoSD'.
