Maybe. Another version is that it was defeated because after each head chopped, the wound was quickly cauterized with a torch so it wouldn't regrow heads. I'm actually trying to do Ornstein first, but every time I swipe at him with my Claymore he hits me back. I think I've only gotten to 50% of his heal at best.
