Chen Posted July 12, 2016 Share Posted July 12, 2016 tell me about it. roguelike heavily based on adom has a plotline and a main quest randomly generated dungeons you can be good at ANYTHING. you can have babies with an eldtrich abomination, a little girl (an actual mob), a cow, a bear, a chess piece, and then modify their genes. probably one of the most moddable games out there (music, sprites, actual dialogue, etc) insane penalties for dying, if you want open ended as fuck you can kill the final boss by making them vomit to death. They introduced me into new great series like Tales of, Persona, Devil Survivor or Zelda. If Shin Megami Tensei belongs to the category "great" too... well it'll become apparent soon. where are you on the game and what are you not enjoying about it? Intro I'd say. Only played it for like 1h. I'm replaying this from the beginning again atm and will focus more on the conversations now. Maybe it's because of the story but I still couldn't get into this game. Well, I had total different expectations after playing Persona and Devil Survivor. I said earlier not to play it >:V The story from what I remember was kind of bad anyway. I have a long history of being a mage in every game I play and it just doesn't feel right when im anything else. even in games where magic sucks like to, dark souls3, or smt3 i made denem a mage, but eventually I just gave up and made him a ninja lol. he was a shitty mage for a while though. and I answered the questions at the beginning of the game that didn't even give him int boosts. You know after I posted, I thought about it; the magic is powerful, but it doesn't totally outclass physical attacks like in some other games. It's just that in the PSP version, the OP magic is so difficult to get, it's almost not worth it.
