Hello, Hi, Hey: I'm $$$ richh

the immortality would forcibly keep you sane, wouldn't it?

anyways, salt was very expensive back then in comparison

worth its weight in gold! used to keep rotten food

so, roman soldiers were paid in salt - coining the term, "worth one's salt"

salt was very important for everything!

On the contrary, the longer the brain is forced to work, the more it will damage itself to disrepair.

Not really, when the day comes and you're the only one left, that solitary existence might make you go insane

Amusing, I knew where the saying originated actually, needless to say, I know its worth in trade too, or at least a good grasp of it.

I know it can be used to keep some things fresh(or as can be) but salt taste.

Do you have an interest in Rome, or just the knowledge?

pretty sure if you became immortal, then your entire being would be immortal, a brain that could hold infinite amount of data because it was given the ability to

and if it doesn't then it'd just regenerate itself due to your body being immortal, dying would just mean getting back up again with a new body

something like that

That's good to hear! And then I'm getting frustrated with job searching, also as usual...

I see, it's starting to bug me too, but hang in there Shirley, I'm confident you will get one.

Dunno about that.

Becoming immortal only means you've escaped death, I doubt it could change or enhance your mind or body, you can still very much be broken and battered; The only difference is, it wouldn't kill you. The body would still operate like normal though.

I don't know actually. I hate how jobs require having connections and as it is, I have none here. Absolutely none. This economy suuuuuuucks.

i think someone taking latin would probably be studying up on roman culture too

i figured learning latin would help with roman culture

what makes you say that?

Time to give my story a bit of a makeover...in terms of location and probably names as well.

still working on that story, huh?

This post is too full of truth.

Might I suggest burying your nose in some books, or something else fun, to take your mind off of the terrible economy?

If this was to me, that's well and good, but also doesn't answer my question.

Immortal only means it won't decay, regardless of the damage it goes under. The neurons' capacity won't be changed other than being able of physically lasting forever, so they can still run the risk of overloading. The body will be fine, the mind however will break down as the neurons can't hold more information than they can without changing what they are, which immortality doesn't grant as it only reinforces against decay.

Think of memories and stuff as subjugated to data rot. Even if you can make it so it won't ever decay, it still won't change how much it can hold.

well...

actually, i don't have too much interest in romans

i just took latin so that i could summon demons!

romans were pretty interesting, but i prefer reading about the renaissance

i figured learning latin would help with roman culture

what makes you say that?

well, in latin class we learn about roman culture because the culture is tied directly into the language

you should learn a culture while learning a language, right?
