Hello, Hi, Hey: I'm $$$ richh

is Revelations the worst FE experience in terms of balance?

If you mean units being useless, then Lunatic awakening manages to be MUCH worse. I'd also say H5 Shadow Dragon and Lunatic New Mystery are also worse than it on that aspectic, despite being really good difficulties.

Half the (huge) cast of revelations is usable without any effort, and many units are usable with some babying. It's just that plenty of units join underleveled and others join really overleveled (comparing Silas to Effie or Charlotte is hilarious. They all join the same chapter)

Today's crap was Espgaluda's final boss:

[23:17:57] Soledai: I'll spare you the story and just get to the highlight
[23:18:21] Soledai: This piece of garbage quite literally fills the screen with bullets, see?
[23:18:47] Soledai: You have an ability that can shield you from bullets, right?
[23:18:53] Soledai: Here's the catch:
[23:19:47] Soledai: If you raise your shield, which eventually fires a beam, this lol final boss absorbs the energy from your shield and restores its health.
[23:20:03] Soledai: You can't defend yourself, or you'll heal the boss

That I did too. Most of the supports were top notch.

Except ryoma and camillas. As if the corrin worship wasn't bad enough >_>

Not different at all. Chapter 27 I fielded only lvl 15 ryoma and corrin, and he still killed every single enemy on the map, haha.

I fielded everyone in Chapter 27, but Endgame was Ryoma+bot and Corrin+bot.

What the actual Fuck?

so is it just more you're trapped in this endless cycle or just push on through and hope it don't use it's full screen danmaku move so you don't heal it?

The full screen danmaku is constantly in effect, the boss itself fires its own bullets.

EDIT: I did win, yes, but still. >_>

Tbh, i'd take birthright's endgame over conquest's endgame, but I think revelation has the best endgame of them all.

Conquest endgame is the only thing i dislike about it

Nah if they let you save conquest's endgame could've actually had a strategical side to it rather than "rush as fast as you can".

Birthright's endgame is...enh, neither good nor bad really.

I hate complex endgames, because when fire emblem go with that they tend to have maps in which you have to deal with units dying, which is unnaceptable for me. It's like i said before, i want a game that is hard through its entirely but easy on endgame.

That said, I like Rev's endgame because it's neither too hard nor cheesable.

revelations endgame has no BS gimmicks other than the boss and his reinforcements

besides that it's just a nice even playing field for both sides

goodness

how did you do it?

just push on through and hope he died faster than he regained health?

I dunno even without the whole no save thing the game encourages you to rush since you want to be near Takumi before turn 4 to block the paired-up enemies and be far away from the endlessly spawning Faceless. The presence of a Hexing rod is also an incentive to make get to him before he has the chance to cripple anyone.

I just didn't use my shield.

There were.... a lot of deaths.

Now I feel like doing a 1cc, everything up to that point was manageable.

Alright I will admit that was sort of a dick move with the rods.

However, plenty of people have beaten it the "correct" way on lunatic, and it's honestly not anything worse than the bullshit 25 and 26 throw at you.

Those maids with inevitable end, tho

Same.

*Has SRW A flashbacks*

Dude, I was thinking the same! Not just in the very last stage. But also the second-to-last, with all those nightmare-ish Funnel-spamming Zeons on a snaking path. And then the Shadow Mirrors at the end.

And then the last stage and it's 10-turn limit...

well if there's a way to get past it without dying one too many times

Putting a turn limit at the final stage... I mean, I get it. Taking too long to beat the final boss out of gameplay should mean it's almost all for naught, specially if there is something that makes the clock tick... but adding it to the gameplay itself is kinda... yeeeeeeeah...

FE has yet to use that, right? Or am I forgetting something...?
