as it makes both sides the same base (1/3) so it enables you to solve the equation.

You sure? If we, say, have x = 1, we end with 1/3 on one side, and 1/81 on the other. Due to 3^(1+3), so 3^4.

Or more like, in what sense it is meant to be equal?

I mean, I wouldn't think it's meant to be equal regardless of x's value. If it's meant to find the value of x, then why add to one side of the equation?

because i thought you needed to make everything the same base to be able to solve the equation.

the answer i looked up does something similar. 1/3^-2(x-3)=9^x and i believe they get negative one which is correct.

So it's basically modifying the equation to get a specific value for x?

after much thought, I realized where knee got it wrong

You should have turned 9 into 1/3^-2 rather than 1/3^-0.5

but why? I don't get it. isn;t 1/3^-2 1/81 or something?

EDIT: i can't do math either

yeah so it makes both sides of the equation have the same base. but 9^-0.5 gets you 1/3 which is the same base also but yet I get a different answer?

doubleposting to make it less confusing. What is the difference between turning 9^-0.5 and 1/3^-2? Don't they accomplish the same thing.

not really. 1/3^-2 gives you 9. 9^-0.5 gives you 1/3

You want to turn 9 into 1/3, so you must replace the 9 by 1/3^-2

but uh 9^-0.5 does get you 1/3. This is why I hate exponential equations, it just feels like I'm guessing on which side you choose to make the same base.

I mean, you could turn the 1/3 in the other side of the equation into 9^0.5

You have two options:

1/3^-2x=1/3^(x+3)

or

9^x = 9^(-0.5(x+3)

oh i see that makes a little more sense now.

Alright, time to continue Stage 59... and face Euzzeth!

Man, you know Fin Funnels are powerful when they can one-shot a Habakuk... okay, with a critical hit, but still...

I'm gonna miss hearing Gunbuster's theme when playing Alpha Gaiden...

Of course Euzzeth has W-Movement... and those Ezekiels, they're quite bothersome due to their Gravity barriers...

Okay, last step to recruit Levi. Have Ryusei talk to her, and maybe also have him defeat her. Well, time to do the first part...

Well... that happened. Didn't had to defeat her, the Judecca just... blew itself up. It's hard for me to say if I really did everything succesfully. Trying at best to figure out stuff from the dialogue... let's see... Ryusei mentions the cockpit... and then after the Judecca blew up, mentions something... his face portrait's expression gives me hope. Also a mention of Levi that makes me think he did got to save her... but I could still be wrong. Well, only way to find out is once I beat the stage.

But that will be for another day.
