This lowers his usability somewhat, and the fact you get an arguably better magic user (with a movement of 6) in chapter 2 outclasses Azel completely. However, unlike said magic user, Azel gets a mount upon promotion, so if you feed him enough EXP, he can become a unit that's somewhat reliable. As stated though, his growths are a bit iffy, but Azel's chip damage more than makes up for it Just when you get the option to buy elfire (chapter 3?), buy it for him. It'll make him so much better Yeah, the move sucks (especially with this big of a map) and iffy growths... eh, is he better than Erk? Most people don't use Erk, but I think he's amazing.
