Because you could always ask if you haven't received any news. I think that the pros out-weight the cons if your name gets out after you get published in the NY times (it might help you get a job in a lot of different newspapers) And if the Times doesn't accept your article, you can always try to send it to other papers. I won't see him till..August I think. Though he said he checks his email periodically so I'm waiting for that. Which won't happen for..quite a bit of time. Though I hope it helps getting internships there when I apply in a couple of years. I really want to buy a physical copy of the newspaper, but sadly can't do it if I try to send it to the Los Angeles Times or the San Fransisco Chronicle. Send it, the worst that happens is it isn't published.If your teacher doesn't get back to you on proofreading, I'll volunteer my efforts to the cause. Ahh I guess I'll try sending it then.
