Even if you're pro efficient with the Shotgun, only having 2 rockets after a rocket jump will make a difference in comparison to 3. The early version of the Cowmangler was OP because it had 5 rockets. This. I feel this way too because I used the Blast Boots (i forgot what they are called lol) with the rocket launcher all the time, and only having 2 after a rocket jump sucks >< Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think you misunderstood a lot of my points xp. The Hell Run is the part where Samus has to run through a super-heated area with her basic suit on, despite having access to the Varia all along. Adam just decide to authorize it after a while. The Geothermal core is the Ridley scene, but the Scene where Adam use his 'mary sue canon of Overpoweredness' to disable Samus and her Power Suit is even worse. And the Final boss is the Metroid Queen, which has a particularly bad moment (it's just incredibly stupid when you consider the rest of the game). If you really want to see putrid writing, look into Other M Well, that wasn't really clear, but okay >_> That was utterly stupid... gotta run through that damn heat with no V suit, THEN get it authorised... etf >_> The ridley thing... sigh... why was that a thing? Fought that damn thing 6(7 technically) times and NOW all of a sudden you got cold feet? And I actually missed that scene, lunch break, but I sighed hard at what I came back to... His base speed is so high it actually goes beyond the cap and then down to 21. They are really handy if you rocket jump all the time, and you know having the high ground with a rocket launcher is the best thing to have. Yeah, energy-clip weapons are the best ^_^ That said I'll either stick to Black Box or go Stock. I feel the Black Box is at its best when you keep the stock shotgun, because 3 rockets aren't a lot before you have to reload, and i tend to need 4 rockets if I'm not on higher ground than them. You lay a couple of bombs, but you still die within 2 seconds. What you actually are supposed to do is realize that the Power Bombs have suddenly been authorized, but the game doesn't do that little thing where it opens up the menu to show you that it became available, like it did every other time a power-up was authorized.
