No they have fangs, it is for when constricting prey, they can grip on in case they try to resist and slip away so using their fangs allows them to prevent this.

Mind you the fangs are less prominent and used for a different purpose.

They don't crush their pray, they just constrict them until they suffocate and hold on to the prey that way.

Source: I was very interested in animals when I was little. I wanted to be a Zoologist lol.

I see. I guessed they may have some fangs, though probably reduced in size compared to venomous one.

And I don't remember writing anything about crushing

I was very interested in animals as well when I was little, though my focus was more on birds and mammals.

Pythons are wonderful examples.

It's hook-like and jagged, for the reason on gripping on them.

They look soft xD.

EDIT: My bad it's considered more as teeth, than fangs.

I swear I read somewhere they were fangs.

Since teeth are the most interesting part of an animal, this is shit I remember.

Well fangs are usually associated with long and sharp canine teeth IIRC.

Teeth are very important in identifying what an animal subsist on. (which is why I facepalm when I think of that picture of a display in the Creation Museum where a human is shown feeding leaves to a T-rex. Yeah, these rows of dagger-like teeth are perfect for picking leaves and chewing them.)
