so I heard you guys talking about Answer!Yukari

So, what a lot of people don't understand is that by this point, Yukari has lost just about everything she cared about in her life. Her mom? A bitch (from what we know of her) with whom she has a strained relationship at best. Her father? Dead via the very Shadows she tried to eliminate but couldn't do without MC's help. Said MC? Falls into an essentially irreversible coma and has his spirit made manifest and chained to a door to act as the seal for some freakishly powerful monster for all eternity.

Keep in mind again that Yukari is also still a teenager at this point, and that a lot of this loss is fairly recent (or were recently re-opened wounds). Losing so many people close to her within that timeframe and essentially having a ragtag group of misfits, regardless of how tight-knit they may have gotten over the year that MC was there, as her only support... makes things a bit complicated for Yukari emotionally.

So, she does what most people what wish to do if they had a chance to bring a loved one back: take the chance regardless of the circumstances, and try and make things better with the newfound knowledge. Was she acting overly smart when she did that? No. She was acting human.

Akihiko's situation is similar, but he got over it in his own way, as did Ken. Yukari never really got that closure that the other two did. Junpei similarly lost his significant other, but she stayed with him and he had been undergoing significant development throughout his time with Chidori anyway. And Mitsuru's manner of coping was going in headfirst into her work with SEES, and the fact that she too had some sort of closure in regards to the death of her father.

Yukari acted like anyone normally would in that situation. Sure, it's a little selfish, but with how the girl's been treated in her life, it's kind of deserved, in a way.
