_____
You must play very differently than me. My units are near their supporters more often than not! You're saying you wouldn't even take a free 25% Crit boost? I don't formulate my strategies all around getting unit A next to unit B. I wouldn't mind a 25% Critical boost. I use supports often. I just don't base my entire strategy around it.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Since Silencer is really the only way they're useful, pumping up the Crit is the best way to improve them. Except you can't without giving them Killing Edge or Shamshir which don't really do as much.
Tino
Joshua for sure. I don't get how people could actually vote for one of the worst characters in the game.

CGV
Are you referring to Marisa? Yes he is. I wouldn't say she's the worst, but compared to Joshua she's just ok, IMO
Meteor
Except you can't without giving them Killing Edge or Shamshir which don't really do as much. Killing Edge +30 Shamshir +35 Wind(+crit) affinity +25 Ice(no crit) affinity +12 Having a fully supported +Crit affinity can be almost as useful as having a Killing Edge. Since they stack, there's absolutely no reason NOT to take advantage of it.
Epona64
Truthfuly, I never even used Marisa. Not even in the chapter where she gets recruited. No I lie, actually. I tried to harness Marisa's supposed abilities, but every time she had any kind of altercation with the enemy, she died. I 'spose I just lost all faith in her then. That and Joshua's hat is rather awesome.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Killing Edge +30Shamshir +35 Wind(+crit) affinity +25 Ice(no crit) affinity +12 Having a fully supported +Crit affinity can be almost as useful as having a Killing Edge. Since they stack, there's absolutely no reason NOT to take advantage of it. Except your potential Myrmidon is much better off as a SM since 15+ Critical makes a big difference with those bonus you state. I don't really rely on abusing luck to do the battling. If anyone should be an Assassin it should be Colm, then again he's much better off as a Rogue. Even when Colm is an Assassin, he wouldn't have those affinity bonus and he'll be completely stuck with just mainly killer weapons. Seeing as Joshua and Marisa is much better off as SM and Colm being the best Rogue, you don't really need Assassin.

Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Except Joshua supporting with Marisa is a bad idea. Ice affinity is no good for Joshua. He's much better off supporting with Gerik. JoshuaXGerik = pwnage. Marisa would probably might need Gerik's support then again, if not him then Tana... Because Josh and Marisa are always the one support that I keep throughout each playthrough
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
No, because almost all your units are overkill to begin with and seeing as this is FE8, I really don't think who do you support really matters. I'm just saying it's good to have those bonuses.
Swordsalmon
If anyone should be an Assassin it should be Colm, then again he's much better off as a Rogue. What's the point of promoting Colm into Rogue? Assassin gives him +1 Constitution to wield heavier weapons with minimal AS loss. Also, there's virtually nothing to steal once Colm promotes and a single chapter to open stuff. Besides, he can always just steal a Lockpick at Chapter 8 to make promoting into Rogue completely useless. Uh...on topic, but Joshua>>>Marisa. He's at least usable, while Marisa is awful. Though she is technically Gerik's best A support if used. ^_^
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
Colm is the best choice for Rogue, however, in terms over all utility, he is much more useful as a Rogue because Rennac comes later and doesn't do as good a job as Colm (lower speed and slower speed growth, plus sub-par bases). Additionally, as you get the Ocean Seal a good four to five chapters before you get Rennac, if you don't use it to make Ross a Berserker, (which is common for people not to) you will raise Colm to level 20 in the tower (if you haven't already) and then promote him. If you make him an Assassin, you lose out on anything you could have stolen between chapter 9 and 14, including but not limited to, a talisman, multiple red gems and multiple elixirs. You also have to make sure that you have sufficient lockpicks, meaning stealing them from the thief in ch. 8 is a must for which you have to train Colm up to have over 14 speed before having access to the tower. Also, he serves much more during the Creature Campaign of getting hell a lot more stuffs and more because he can pick for free without lockpicks. And enabling to get important things such as promotion items, and stat-boosts. Despite the fact that I think Assassins are pretty good class, they're actually consider to be the worst anyways. What's the point of promoting Colm to an Assassin when you get so much more out of Rogues? It's not like Assassins are better than Rogues in any way at all. Florete
Ouch. Who do you like then? In this game? Not many. I found this games characters rather dull.
