Also, I'd recommend Rune Factory, Shin Megami Tensei - Devil Survivor series (you can get ROMs for the DS for these easily). Tales of the Abyss exists on the 3DS now. 999 (Nine People, Nine Hours, Nine Doors) and Zero Escape - Virtue's Last Reward are part of the Zero Escape series and are great. Chrono Trigger is fun as well. Valkyrie Profile - Covenant of the Plume deserves a mention. The World Ends With You is a mustget for it's 100% unique gameplay and it is awesome. Place it really high on your priority list if you're getting it. Most of those games are GBA/DS/3DS games so it should be easy to play them.
