I see what you mean.

A lot of her spells look pretty standard, but a few really stand out above the others in terms of difficulty.

That one that looks like Tenko Illusion would probably destroy me.

Undefined Darkness is her second worst card for me. After GODDAMN RAINBOW UFO.

If I were to rank her attacks

I panicked a bit while doing it that run because "OMG I can feasibly clear" thoughts, but the closest I've come to capping Nightmare (which is much closer than Rainbow) is half a second.

Rainbow UFO is only hard if you're at low power, which you shouldn't be at by that time. Yeah, it's gonna be a pain in the ass if you ARE at low power, but if you're not, it's really simple.

Hardest overall is probably Grudge Bow because that fourth phase is a mess.

I feel like input lag is something that's definitely screwed me over more than once in touhou, though I've never been able to label the cause of a death just on that.

Install vsync patches, job done. Then you only have yourself to blame when you die :D

I'll clear DDC Normal just to get it out of the way.

Man really regret being dumb a few months ago going CAVE is harder 2hu sux because aside from be coming off as a douche people now basically think that all other shmups are UFO LUNATIC*MILLION HARD when they are not. CAVE's hardest modes tend to be stupidly designed and generally not for sane people. Some hards and all lunatics are harder than the average arcade shmup first loop.
