Knight
I've had a recent problem, whenever I close my 3DS XL while playing SSB it sometimes just crashes, I open it up and the screen is black and remains that way. I don't know if it's my system, it's definitely seen better days, or the game itself. It doesn't seem to do this when I play Pokemon Y. Elieson
I've had recent crashes as of the past few days myself, causing it to "Shut Down" here and there. There is a 3ds update that just came out though; have you tried that?
Knight
No, I haven't connected my 3DS to the web in a while, I might try that. Has anyone else encountered something similar?
TheRealBlueBlur
Pressing the Home button makes it take awhile to actually go back to the home menu for me. More notably, closing the game from the home menu makes my entire 3DS crash and reboot. I have update 1.0.3.
Roflolxp54
It occasionally happens to me (it staying in sleep mode when reopening the 3DS and get nothing but black screens and blinking blue power LED) but it already happens occasionally before I got Smash Bros. I just hold down the power button to shut if off before restarting it. Edited October 30, 2014 by Roflolxp54
Kiseki
Pressing the Home button makes it take awhile to actually go back to the home menu for me. More notably, closing the game from the home menu makes my entire 3DS crash and reboot. I have update 1.0.3. The rebooting after closing the game from the home menu is normal for standard 3DSs. Because of how much processing power the game takes up, it will normally take a while to boot up. Just be patient and you should be fine. Loki Laufeyson
I have not encountered any crashes regarding Smash. Try just making sure you have all system (and Smash) updates. I have a launch 3DS, and not having any issues.
