Is EXP gain increased on easy?

Not BEXP, I know that increases. The reason I ask is because I promoted Oscar on ch 8 in PoR, and I have a lv20 Ike and 4 3rd tier units in RD on 3-5. That seems a bit overkill to me.

My explanation is very complicated and maybe incorrect in few points, but that's all the differences in all modes in FE9 and 10 how I have noticed.

In FE9:

You have to calculate from this situation, if you play FE9 on hard mode:

If you fight an enemy with the same level as your unit, you'll get 10 experience points for weaking it and 25 experience points for killing it.

  • easy mode: double experience as in hard mode
  • normal mode: same experience for weaking an enemy as in hard mode, for killing an enemy +5 exp. than on hard mode
  • hard mode: like in the description
  • maniac mode: same experience for weaking an enemy as in normal mode, for killing an enemy -5 exp. than on hard mode.

In FE10:

  • easy mode: same model as FE9 in easy mode
  • normal mode: same model as in FE9 hard mode
  • hard mode: same model as in FE9 maniac mode with the difference that you also get -5 exp. for weaking an enemy

However this only applies for units, who aren't overleveled. Overleveled units get very few exp. points (the same experience for weaking and killing an enemy).

I'm not sure, if my calculation about the easy modes is correct. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

Radiant Dawn, not sure, though I think it's just an increase in BEXP.

In FE10 on easy mode the battle experience is increased too.

That probably happened because you've fed Oscar all the kills, instead of sharing the EXP amongst all of your characters.

Similar thing has probably happened here.

I didn't. Boyd promoted two chapters later. I guess it's because of almost 0 Titania.

It doesn't automatically mean that he doesn't share the experience.

Like I said in the easy modes your experience is around doubled compared to other modes. 2-3 kills gives you a level up already and a bosskill guarantees a full level. So it's easy to promote your units very early. 40-50 kills are enough for a promotion for a tier 1 level 1 unit.

The interesting fact is that you get in FE9 on hard mode in total more experience than on normal mode, because there are more enemies on hard mode while you get only slightly less experience (-5 for a kill) than on normal mode.

RD easy is almost the equivalent of Thracia's elite mode.

Wherein all your units had an innate Elite (better known as Paragon nowadays) skill. Which in thracia could be increased even further with the Elite Sword and actually giving someone the elite skill.

Paragon in RD is similar with said easy mode.
