eclipse
I'm tired from a long day at work. This was a nice relaxing read. That is all. I'm glad you enjoyed it~! Chapter 24B - It's a new record! First things first, let's get Wil rolling! This was a toss-up between Erk and Matthew, and Erk won. Matthew's boost would be to strength/defense/resistance; Erk's boost is everything but strength. Therefore, Erk needs it more. Matthew needs the offense! Matthew needs the tankiness! And let's give him a Goddess Icon so I can clear some room in my inventory! That's, uh, fascinating. Iron Rune~! Oh, and everything else is nice. Rebecca walks on mountains. Those wyverns are quite tanky! Even Hector can't quite OHKO them! Lyn's attempts to pull herself up by the bootstraps. . .is pretty damn good. Rigged a crit here, because everything else was more inaccurate. Numbers burned: nine. Everyone wants to be Erk. ;/ Among the already-tanky wyverns is this thing. Perfect! Still better than Lyn. Best map design. Those enemies wield all sorts of swords, including a Silver Sword or three. And they keep coming! Lyn needs to do something about that armored thing in the previous picture. Erk had the Hammer, so Ninian acted as a ferry between them, then used Ninis' Grace so Lyn wouldn't insta-die. This Silver Sword unit had to die, or he'd double Sain. The only way I could kill him is via Steel Sword crit. Number burned: 39 (I am NOT making this up). Canas loots the village, and promotes~! I decided that this was a good place to camp. Rebecca needed to get off the mountain and go shopping. That was terrible. That was awesome. That was also awesome! He doesn't look quite as impressive as Priscilla, but Prissy doesn't heal herself on every other hit. Still beautiful. THE BEST SHOP! After much deliberation, I buy six Axereavers. I only have four lance users, but there's a certain chapter where I will burn close to 50 charges. . . Solemn Judgment, fuck yeah~! Eliwood takes minimal damage from the enemy units, if they hit. Canas draws a lot of flak, but he's in a forest, so it's not too bad. Merlinus can swim FSR. Keep going~! Hector's final level is a let-down. Here's hoping that he'll do better on promotion~! Erk makes use of his Stimulant. . .somewhat. Get some Speed~! Canas got this level from dodgetanking something like 30 Steel Sword shots (not all at once). She's ready for promotion. Never thought Eliwood would look so damn good in red! Hey, why'd you turn into an Assassin? ;/ That's his inventory. The Poison Sword looks intimidating, but I want him to wield it. It effectively cuts his Speed in half. Can he connect at least once? Ninian gave him a hand, and it worked~! Go, Magical Arm Shield! Merlinus is now full, and I have a bunch of people that need to promote. Lucius will take a vacation until a Heaven Seal shows up.
Klokinator
As long as Lloyd uses that poison sword, he's a kinda pathetic boss. It's that other sword that sucks ass.
eclipse
By slapping Ninis' Grace on Eliwood, and having Hector in range, the Poison Sword did a grand total of one damage. Eliwood is a mage tank! Chapter 25 - Moon Prism Power! He's asking to be doubled. ;/ NICE! He's asking to be doubled, too, but he doesn't have Hector's natural tankiness. Unlike the others, he promoted at level 16. This had to be done, for ~reasons~. Let's fix that! The starting lineup! Eh, I'll take it. HELL YES! Also, why is his Skill so damn high? My goal is to get Erk to Rienfleche, to fix his otherwise suspect Speed. Luckily, he starts at C bows, which is a huge boon. I used a Steel Bow to get him up to speed. I had to diddle around for several turns, until Canas could jack that. Problems? I think not! Pascal's more valuable dead than alive. Almost there! I did some poking with Canas, and that was my reward. ;/ . . .and that's a wrap! Prepare yourselves. . .the end is near. . . That's all you need to know about that! (hint: it went into Axereavers instead) If you look closely, you can see Lyn near Wil's bangs. I realized that bum-rushing the village was a bad idea after those guys spawned. Wil used his Axereaver to keep them off of her tail. This is the level he got while keeping her safe. Sain continues his amazing streak. Revenge is a dish best served on Steel. Sadly, the reinforcements run out. Sain's final unpromoted level. . . .he really, REALLY likes that Speed boost! . . .as well as that C rank in staves! Wil does more sniping to get this level. Can Matthew make it? Before killing the final enemy, I decided to get some supports (since I have a nice chain of them). I grabbed a clip of everyone's convo except for Rebecca and Wil. Matthew is adorable. "Maybe it's the weird voice that makes stupid comments about these pictures!" This applies to every Sain convo, especially except for Kent's. Friendzoned already. Sorry, Fiora. Matthew pulls off one final level, and it's a good one! So that took a bit longer than expected. Agreed! I missed Fiora's promotion. Sorry~! That leaves Lyn and Lucius as the only unpromoted units, and that'll be fixed come next chapter. Edited January 23, 2015 by eclipse
Klokinator
Friendzoned already. Sorry, Fiora. She looks like she's gonna burst into tears. "E-Eliwood... onii-chan..."
eclipse
Alas, Eliwood has a bromance with Hector, so he has no room for a lass like Fiora! (that was a neat coincidence)
Klokinator
I like how Eliwood has more STR/SPD/DEF than Hector, levels faster, and hits RES.
eclipse
Eliwood was able to double before Hector; thus, he could get more levels. I think this is Hector's fault, as he was stuck at 5 Speed for a very long time.
RandomSwordmaster
Nice LP so far! Also, Dark Hole is now Semi-Limited :o....AND SNATCH STEAL IS NOW LIMITED! I DEMAND SNATCH STEAL REFERENCE!
eclipse
Nice LP so far! Also, Dark Hole is now Semi-Limited :o....AND SNATCH STEAL IS NOW LIMITED! I DEMAND SNATCH STEAL REFERENCE! But those aren't traps! Chapter 26 - I'm running through Axereavers too quickly! First order of business - making Matthew competent! Killer Bows rock. I'll also pick up some more Hand Axes and maybe a couple of Killer Lances. Purge is great for funds. Shine, not so much. THE PLAN: Hector and Eliwood will force their way to the shop. Everyone else will peel off in the other direction. One Heaven Seal later. Two stats that Assassins care about. THAT'S NOT SPEED! Eliwood wears the pants in that relationship! It was either this enemy's death, or Priscilla's. I happen to like Priscilla. Someone flipped a White Hole, I know it! Now if vanilla Wil got these kinds of levels consistently. . . These enemies are super-tanky. That's Erk with a Short Bow. How the hell did Skill outstrip everything? He got ONE Secret Book. ;/ One of those Spears is tame. The other one rips enemies to shreds. It couldn't possibly be this one? These guys appear right along side the reinforcements that dual-wield Spears. Things that ruin these reinforcements: Berserkers and three-range weapons (helpful ones include the Silver Sword and the Wyrmslayer). Hawkeye is putting vanilla Jaffar to shame. "Four stats! Four stats!" Did I play a Gravity Bind? No, I don't think I did. Typical Lyn level. "Who needs Strength when Silencer exists?" Lyn really needs those promotion gains. She hits about as hard as Matthew, and that's not a compliment. Wil can beat up Lyn. Filla's Might solves a lot of problems. Apply to your unit, and. . . Pesky 2HKOs on distant enemies become an insta-blick! Any stats he drew were negated by Drop Off. Say it with me: HECTOR GOT SPEED! Matthew's momma didn't make him eat his spinach when he was younger. He ate everything else, though. Moral of the story: Eat your spinach! She's already better than Lyn. Rebecca needs to critkill the enemy next to her (who wields a Slim Lance). Hawkeye and Matthew need to team up to kill the other enemy. Matthew is on Hard Mode - he needs to hit an Axereaver-wielding Falcoknight with a Halberd (50% odds of hitting). Hawkeye has a Silver Sword. Thanks to a bit of rigging (in this case, switching the order of various attacks), I manage to pull this off. Every side of Wil is sexy. A slightly higher chance to crit! If it has one of Str/Def, I'll take it. When surrounded by women, Sain's parameters go up. Hmm. . . ICARUS ATTACK~! Erk senses that Hector is gaining Speed, and follows suit. Rebecca is one of those rare characters that can gain two stats, and still call it good. This is a perfect level. Why? Because Hector's slowly getting the ability to double wyverns. Now imagine Erk doing the same. Eliwood sets a good example for Hector. The last remaining threats. Two of them have Iron Lances, and one has a Brave Lance. Their buddies chased Priscilla from the village, and it was thanks to Axereaver abuse that she didn't die outright. Wil gets tired of them. He's going places. That's a Lancereaver, that does four damage. Thank goodness she gained Strength! Ran into Wall of Revealing Light. . . Matthew really needs to do push-ups. ;/ Thanks to reinforcements from all over the place, I had to use way too many Axereaver charges. I also broke the Silver Sword. On the upside, everyone got a lot of experience, and the next chapter features Kenneth (I'm not sure if I'd be able to take on Jerme with this lineup). Ansem
Lucius sucks at Yugioh. Also am I late to the party? I just realized that Fiora's palette is not the same as her original. Wonder what prompted the change.
Klokinator
You're the second person ever to mention that. L95 is the first.

Klokinator
Because I didn't like the original palette. Literally it, that's the reason.

B.Mage
I feel your sympthaty on Lyndis. She's so WEAK, holy shit. The only good thing is she has high con/speed so she always doubles which doesn't matter if she can't do damage I ditched Rebecca, but only because Lyndis is forced later on, so good luck with them Wil has insane crit rate, give him a horseslayer (i swear he had 70) Can anyone besides Fiora and Pent use the Rapier/Mani Katti? :x

eclipse
That Popeye reference. I was hungry, 'k? Lucius sucks at Yugioh. All he does is play traps. Because I didn't like the original palette. Literally it, that's the reason. I'll admit, I didn't notice. Sorry! I demand Dark Mirror Force and Giant Trap Hole references :D....and Wiretap. I hear and obey! Eventually. Not tonight, because I have giant headache due to playing too much Vanguard. :x I gotta use Lyn, but she comes along anyway. She's supporting Wil, and it ups his crit even further~! I'll give Wil the Killer Lance I just picked up. . .and maybe the Horseslayer to deal with Ursula (if he can hit her; I'm tempted to use the STFUstaff on her, if I can get it to stick). I've got Kenneth's map, and I'm going to recruit Harken. This is because I want his stuff (Iron Rune is nice, but not necessary; extra Fimbulvter will be welcome, as soon as I get Sain up to A Anima). The boss is annoyingly fast, but I have something to deal with the crit, so I'm not too worried. I can also throw in Ninis' Grace, as well. Now, for a couple of questions: 1. Do the extra stats from Luce determine whether or not I can steal stuff? 2. More importantly, do thrones give immunity to statuses, or simply heal them off at the start of enemy phase? This determines who I bring and how I approach the chapter.
MacLovin
You can steal his shit. also I found the +crit dudes to be fairly good lategame. Becca's high non-res growths are nice. Fiora's fun too.

B.Mage
I fail to see why Serra is bad The only thing i added was 1 angelic robe to her literally non exisitent hp growth Edit: Did you ditch Canas for Hawkeye? eclipse
You can steal his shit. also I found the +crit dudes to be fairly good lategame. Becca's high non-res growths are nice. Fiora's fun too. Like Wil 1) Nope! 2) They heal them off at the start of enemy phase. Thanks and thanks! Used both of these to get past the chapter~! Edit: Did you ditch Canas for Hawkeye? I AM USING BOTH, PITY ME! Chapter 27K - Blind! Strategy: Leave those guys alone; they'll come for me when ready. Strategy: They'll chase me, except for the dude on the pillar. I'll bust this door down and storm from the inside. Hawkeye wants this (the Silver Sword, that is). Merlinus' starting position is reminiscent of a certain other hack recently finished by TheMoniker. Hawkeye~! Do not piss off Wil. He has enough crit to make you miserable. MOAR CRIT! Prissy' low Speed is beginning to bite her. That's the speed cap~! I use a couple of Axereaver charges here. For this! Lyn's awful Strength doesn't matter when she's up against something that's squishy. Not funny. ;/ Not as impressive as Wil, but it'll still hurt. I'll, uh, take the Res? This guy needs to die before he switches weapons. And die he Wil. STRENGTH~! Not speed. ;/ Canas could use. . .well, every last level of his to gain Defense, just so he'll stop dying to raindrops. This Assassin got Armads (which I don't care about), then Durandal (which I do care about). Matthew is here to deliver holy justice. Silence the first: Make sure Harken doesn't suicide. Actually, Eliwood appreciates the skill. Makes Fimbulvter all the more threatening. My lockpick woes are over~! While these enemies CAN be scary thanks to their insta-blick chances, it becomes irrelevant when I attack them without risk of a counter. Defense > Strength, WTF. At least Sain is tanky? Speed~! Here, I take a break to get some supports. This is Klok's text edits at its finest. This entire conversation is hilarious. See? I will need the funds. The more crit, the better~! Wil agrees~! Step 1 - make sure I can crit this jerk. Step 2 - give Canas more experience. Crits are a lovely thing, especially since Kenneth has been silenced. Just some chip damage. MORE CRIT! He heard me. The last bit of resistance was outside. The two Captains hold nice items. I sent Erk, Priscilla, Canas, and Sain out there. Erk wants the experience, Priscilla was there to cheer him on, Sain was for spot healings, and Canas was for an item. The Stimulant, to be exact. That's Rebecca-level critting. Twelve more levels of that, and Erk will be godly. Hey Sain, Erk's catching up! Sain has another TIER to go, so he gets the drugs Stimulant. B rank staves get! Totally efficient. I am not looking forward to the next chapter.
