But our offense would've been going for it against a good defense and from four yards away. If it failed, we'd have come away scoreless. A FG was a much safer bet. Our defense had forced a couple 3 and outs before, they could've done it again.

Can't believe fans are blaming Tomlin. They always do. Yes, that trick play attempt in the first quarter was a stupid idea, but that was the only big mistake he made, if you ask me. Tomlin didn't drop passes or fail to call a PI when a receiver was clearly knocked down or turn the ball over.

EDIT: And Ben has to be checked for a concussion now. Ugh...

I don't blame Tomlin honestly. Either way he looks good if it succeeds, and if it fails he gets all the blame, whether it was the smart choice or not.

If it's 4th and 2 or less I think you go for it. If it's more kicking is the smarter move.

I'm pretty sure it was 4th and 4.

And yeah, these Steelers fans on Facebook are just dumb a lot of the time. There are a few smart ones on there every now and then, but I bet the rest of the smart ones stay away because of all the idiots. I know I stay away for that reason.

If Ben has a concussion, our season may be done. He'd probably be out three or four more games given how long Luke Kuechly was out with a concussion for the Panthers.

Not necessarily, Hoyer only missed last week against the Jets when he had a concussion, and the news was that he was out with memory loss. That sounds pretty serious, but he only missed one game. Obviously it could be much worse, but just saying it isn't necessarily going to force Ben out for a month.

Oh, really? I guess it depends on the severity then... Well, I hope for the best. We can't have Ben getting hurt so much either, it's going to make the higher-ups think he's too old or something and then they'll cut his newly signed contract short and we'll be stuck trying to develop Landry freaking Jones. He's okay, but he's no starter. Yet (you never know, you know).

Or his foot, yeah. Ben is a tough cookie too. It just sucks that so much was expected of this team this season and we're just 6-5 thanks to mainly QB injuries and kicker problems. I know it could've been worse, but it still feels really lousy when your team was predicted to win the division again and possibly make it to the Super Bowl/knock down the Pats from their throne, only to have all those injuries and crap happen, including the loss of Bell. DeAngelo Williams has been super awesome, but it's still not quite the same without a dose of Le'Veon Bell.

Although, it's nice to see that Jimmy Graham is out for the season (torn petellar tendon or something like that). The Seahawks didn't get away with that win easily at all. I don't really like seeing players get hurt, regardless of the team, but yeah.

I wouldn't say it's nice to see Jimmy hurt, it's another wrench thrown into his disappointing season. He's such a talented player and the Seahawks were only just beginning to start using him when he gets hurt.

That does suck, but after the missed PI call on Sherman and the helmet-to-helmet hit on Ben, I just can't have much sympathy. Now I see why my stepdad hates the Seahawks as well as Sherman. He always said Sherman was an ass.

I hate the Seahawks because during these dark times of crappy Raiders teams, a lot of "fans" jumped ship and started rooting for Seattle. If you're gonna banwagon another team at least banwagon the other bay area team dammit.

I've also hated Pete Caroll since his USC days(I hate USC too, I hope they are doomed to suck forever). Them loosing the super bowl in the fasion that they did was the happiest I've ever been during a football game.

I'm not sure whether I like Sherman or not. He's a prick but I do like his honesty when it comes to players issues.

EDIT: wow rip undefeated season Pats

The Panthers are now the only undefeated team! YEAH CAROLINA!! Feels good to be living in NC right now. ^^ I'd have rather the Pats lost at full strength because I hate them, but a loss is a loss.

Still rather sore about my Steelers, but at least the Panthers are still rockin' and rollin'.

Being an Arizona fan in Washington is hard sometimes lol. I don't usually say much, but yeah, their fans (Seattles) are so cocky.

wait till you see Washington (DC) fans

their team hasn't really done shit in two decades but every win is like christmas to them and an excuse to rub it in

it really makes no sense

source: went to undergrad where it was 50% washington and 50% ravens fans

Would've been nice if the Titans won, so that the Browns could safely win vs. the Ravens without giving sole possession of the worst record to another team. Oh well, the Titans almost certainly aren't going to be drafting a new QB since, despite his team's record, Mariota has been pretty good. The only danger will be if they trade out of the #1 spot. Our main goal should be the finish with a worse record than the 49ers, since they're the lousy team this year with the shakiest QB situation (besides the Browns, of course).

Ha, Jedi, I knew a Steelers fan that lives in Arizona. He was the only guy around wearing black and gold when Super Bowl 43 was happening while everyone else was in red for the Cardinals. Poor guy. :P

I get funny looks when I wear a jersey, but that goes without saying.

Well, that's kind of rude, people shouldn't think you're weird for cheering for a different team. I didn't know people could be like that, actually... But that's probably because I spent a lot of my life outside of the US as well as in Pittsburgh and the other places I've lived have a wide variety of fans.

I'm pretty glad I didn't stay up to watch that game. Also, I'll take that loss all day/all night if Gronk ends up not missing extended time. Really fucking tired of injuries...

EDIT: also, Ana, must be nice being a fan of a team in each conference...

It's been awhile but i figured i would check in here. This season has been pretty interesting.

The Bills are so fucking frustrating it makes me sick sometimes. Surprisingly winning out against our soft remaining schedule gives us a really good shot at the playoffs. Hell even a 4-1 finish gives us a decent chance so don't give up yet Jim Moriarty/Life. Although they will probably win the next 4 games and have a win and you're in scenario against the Jets in week 17 and then blow that game in true Bills fashion...

Happy about the Pats loss. I kinda predicted it with how average their offense has looked without Edelman.

Has anyone checked out the ESPN Playoff Machine yet? I got a scenario with 26 of the 32 teams going 7-9 lol. Half of the teams in the playoffs have a losing record.

The loss last night had more to do with losing Hightower on defense than any of the losses on offense. Not to say the offense wouldn't have done better, but the fact is the Broncos had 43 rushing yards on 15 carries while High was in the game. After he left? 17 carries for 136 yards. There's just no depth at inside LB currently. Which is unfortunate, really, because Hightower and Collins are the best LB duo in the AFC. The defense loses a whole lot of juice when either or both are absent.

Yeah, because I can possibly see both teams in the Super Bowl at the same time, and I won't need one to lose for the other most of the time (the only time would be if they were facing each other). SO glad the Panthers are NFC.

If I saw them both in the Super Bowl, I'd be happy no matter who won. :P

Also, I think we're all tired of injuries... And in my case, I'm especially tired of Ben getting hurt, even though it's never been his fault.
