Jokoister
Awakening had a drop off in main game units recruited after chapter 13 because of the children system, so assuming If doesn't bring it back, then won't we be seeing some more mid-late game units in If? I also wonder if Nohr or Hoshido would have more pre-promotes. Nohr seems more likely since the lack of grinding might screw over newer players who wanted to experience Nohr with permadeath, so they'd have to gurantee players could at least beat the game by giving them post-premotes mid-late game. Draco
to be fair, I think every FE this far doesn't have as many units as the game goes on. Still doubt it.
NeonZ
Nohr already seems to have quite a few prepromotes. There are at least 5 revealed already - 2 Butlers, 2 Maids, 1 Great Butler Knight. Revenant Knight is also probably a promoted class, adding a sixth revealed promoted Nohr character. Edited June 5, 2015 by NeonZ
goodperson707
^ 2 butlers? And to lesser extent maids.
NeonZ
Wait, forget the 2nd butler.

twice
Only one butler is confirmed for now. Joker. A maid named Felicia is also confirmed. There is also a blue haired maid... but nothing is known yet about her... (personally I wish for more maids XD) Hopefully there are more characters x.x Edited June 5, 2015 by antonio616
dragonlordsd
Who knows. I can't say for sure, because all of the characters revealed so far have been early game characters. If I had to guess, I'd say Hoshido will have more early game characters, and Nohr will have more mid-late characters. But that's just a guess. to be fair, I think every FE this far doesn't have as many units as the game goes on. Still doubt it. Actually, most FE games have consistently added units in the late game. Awakening and sacred stones are anomalies in that they didn't, likely to give you more time to play around with the units you do have. I mostly meant midgame where they hardly give you any, but they still don't usually give you a lot lategame, at least compared to earlygame. True. All the games do lag a bit in the middle.
ChibiToastExplosion
I don't think I was overly upset by no later units - 9/10 earlier units end up better anyway, and the player is more attached to them. We've all learned to stay away from the pre-promotes by now.

Mackc2
Better recruitment pacing? PLEEEAAASSSEEE, IS. Don't expect it, Chapter 6 will probably be a large recruitment drive
The DanMan
Don't expect it, Chapter 6 will probably be a large recruitment drive It's highly possible that a few of the characters you control are guest characters, a la the Black Knight in Radiant Dawn, and you don't formally "recruit" them until later. Vitezen
Later units will likely be members of your own side that are too high-level to give you at the start, so you don't have 5 crutches.

BaKaDaNaa
I don't think maids and buttlers are pre-promotes, they're probably special classes. I think we can see a lv 40+ Felicia in the My Castle video.
goodperson707
Then explain why they 1 can parallel seal to a promoted class at level 9/why they would use a special class to showcase promoted parallel sealing. And 2 why both butlers/maids both happen to cross over to strategist.
BaKaDaNaa
I can't, I have to admit I didn't remember any of this. It's still weird, though, who would promote into a maid? And why was Felicia lv 40? Maybe it was her overall lv (T1 + T2), but it doesn't make a lot of sense.
goodperson707
Here is the thing. To IS there is no Promotion what occurs after using a master seal is called a class change. For an example in Thraica a certain thief can class change into a dancer, and i think she actually loses a lot of stats and loses even more if she was master sealed before hand. DualMix
I would certainly hope so. And maybe less beginning units, cause I was too attached to the beginning units in Awakening to care about later ones. So just evening the units out would be nice.
goodperson707
A thing to note is that many units seem to come in pairs so far, the subordinates/ beniot and charlotte. What that bodes i don't know.
