Shuuda
Episode Fourteen: Studmeister Returns After losing two Pokemon against Morty, including Azure, I filled in the gaps by bringing back Studmuffin and keeping Xian are a permanent member for the foreseeable future. The next destination is Olivine City, and I can fetch a few new encounters along the way. [spoiler=Episode Fourteen: Part One] Sweet. Put I'm not putting that on Xian. I'll just wait until I catch a Duskull, or something like that. Using that won't end in anything terrible. Nope. That's me, old man. Of course he's old, just look at that hair. If I win this battle, the journey would be over. Bring it on! It would appear as if I have a new quest. Collect all the dinner plates. What awesome Pokemon will we get for our encounter here? Badass. Go Studmuffin! Put it to sleep. Oh yeah... Luxio's part dark in this hack, so it's weak to bug. Way to go Studmeister. Time for Titan to pick up the slack after sitting out Morty. Oh, it had Hammer Arm. Delightful. RIP: Titan. Sod off with that dumb smile. This ain't funny. Bugger this. You look like you've got chops. A space has just opened up for you. This is bad, but we're gonna take it on anyway. [spoiler=Episode Fourteen: Part Two] It's time! Verdante actually made it! Beautiful. Awesome. Bullshit! Why'd your ability change? What happened to Natural Cure? Nevermind. Psst, kid. I'll show you my wiggly tree if you come here. They looked better in Gen II. Easy levels for Spitfire, please. Great, another capture in the future. Speaking of which. It's a new route. Most retarded name ever. That'd normally be a worrying sight, but not for Verdante! Stupid name, also. If only we had a teammate who could deal with normal types easily. Just two more trainer battles to go. Oh, how clever of you. That's not pathetic at all. This reminds me, I actually have a pair of Moon Stones in my bag. I wouldn't mind a Wigglytuff. [spoiler=Episode Fourteen: Part Three] Nice enounter. Let's see if I can actually catch this one. Hmm... that ain't too good. But wait! I actually have one last enounter I forgot about! How peaceful. Now, Studmuffin, please actually help this time. That's interesting. I do have a King's Rock on me. And there you have it. Sadly, it's going to be a while until the next gym battle. But hang tight, because there're plenty of battles and captures in between. Despite losses, the team is looking a good as ever. [spoiler=Team]
Konnor97
How does the King's Rock work as an evolution item in this? Do you use it on a Pokemon or do they have to level up while holding it or something?
Shuuda
How does the King's Rock work as an evolution item in this? Do you use it on a Pokemon or do they have to level up while holding it or something? I think you just have to use it on the Pokemon. It applies to similar items as well, like the Dragon Scale for example. Edited July 8, 2015 by Shuuda
Blaze The Great
In all fairness, I do think these deaths were purely my bad. I thought Gengar would go down with one Sucker Punch. Lol naw it was just a joke in response to blah. Blah always makes jokes about Comrade Marx and Nohr. So I extended the joke by noticing that you hadn't picked a side for Fates. blah the Prussian
YOU NAMED STARAVIA SPITFIRE? That is so badass. Maybe my Richtofen can pilot it! If you catch another flying type, can you name it Messerschmidt or Sturmovik?
Shuuda
YOU NAMED STARAVIA SPITFIRE? That is so badass. Maybe my Richtofen can pilot it! If you catch another flying type, can you name it Messerschmidt or Sturmovik? Sounds like a plan. Also... Bonus Episode: Item Hunting I didn't want to put this stuff into a full post. But now that I have a surfer, I wanted to collect some items and buy some TMs for my team. [spoiler=Bonus Episode] For the Ralts and Snorunt I don't haved. I'll probably pick up one of each stone just to save time. This is the one I'm most after though, since I've read Arcanine can learn Flare Blitz on level up, instead of only learning it as Growlithe. You can buy extra Dig, Grass Knot, and Roost TMs at Goldenrod, too. So I might as well use them. I doubt Spitfire's ever going to make great use of that. For the Happiny I don't have. You're so enthusatic! I love it! Hurr... But suddenly! Go, Noordzee, kill it! No legendaries allowed! Sadly, it fled without taking much damage. That reminds me that I should actually try to make use of all the Berries I'm getting. Not bad. Let's hope I can find a psychic time between now and the next gym. Free level up. Picked up this from Cherrygrove. Only one thing left to fetch... Steven actually gave me a hint on how to find this one. Yeah, not much going on here. Hopefully, I have another, proper post, later. I just wanted to get this stuff out of the way before continuing.
Shuuda
Episode Fifteen: Seaside Fun As I reach Olivine, the team is almost entirely evolved. It's time to do some battling and capturing, and I'll even have a little vote at the end of this part. That should hopefully keep things interesting between gym battles. [spoiler=Episode Fifteen: Part One] Twatface alarm. Hopefully I can some more experience by kicking his arse again. Well, those are the rules of this playthough. He's got a point. Sterling suggestion. I need to test out my new Arcanine after all. For the Gloom I don't have. I wish I could get a Cottonee in this generation. That'll come in handy later. Great, now I can evolve my Scyther. Scyher, evolve now! Oh yeah, I only have a Beautifly. Seems kind of small for a lighthouse. Nevermind. You're the worst electric gym leader, but thanks anyway. [spoiler=Episode Fifteen: Part Two] Now... for trainer battles! Awesome, fire-breathing dog, go! Oh shit, the trainers are starting to get some really good Pokemon, too. I hear this gets Adaptability in this hack. That's pretty deadly. Now there's their lad in the sky! He's ready to shoot down some enemy pilots. Either he'll be a staple of the team, or he'll die gloriously. Three on one. Seems fair. Yeah! Fist that fox! Use those... talons? Given the moveset Lyra's Nidorina had, this was kind of scary. That's pretty stupid looking. Two TM's I'll never use. Just five more levels, and then maybe you'll be a match. That's still awesome. Dang, they really are getting tougher Pokemon. And that's all for the battles. Nothing too bad, but some of these Pokemon are worrying me. [spoiler=Episode Fifteen: Part Three] Will you just battle me here? Tsk. Don't you have a job to do? Battling me. Well naturally. Who wouldn't want an Ampharos. It's not too late for me, I believe. We need Pokemon to Surf, so let's capture some. It looks happy to see me. Welcome aboard. Nice. That's a lucky catch. This is my enounter for Olivine City, just to make that clear. Not so impressive, but Tentacruels actually pretty good. Excellent! That's a TM worth finding. The team is finally fully evolved. It's looking pretty well balanced, with both power and bulk, as well as both physical and special. [spoiler=Team] And that's all for now. You might have noticed, I've caugh a number of water type Pokemon recently. So, in order to decide which will have the privilage of taking me to Cianwood. Swimsuit Battle! Yes, it's time for another vote. This time, there're three water type Pokemon for you yo choose from. I'll put some notes below them, just to give my thoughts on each. Also, don't let their levels a factor in your vote, as I'll be fine with grinding if needed. [spoiler=Candidates] I'd rather evolve Noordzee into a Politoed, since his nature boosts special attack. I also believe, after checking the documentation, that Damp might get replaced by Drizzle when it evolves into Politoed. This has both good and bad effects on my team. Gerardo can be given Thunder, but Xian becomes worse in the rain. I've got a Water Stone, so I can get a Starmie right away. Plus, I've got Surf and the Psychic TM to give it two strong STABS. That said, I'd like to save TMs if possible, and Psybeam is fine for the time being. It's good a good ability, good stats and nature, and a wide movepool of attacks. Plus, psychic types will be good for the next gym. Poison types will be useful for resisting fighting types. Sadly, this nature isn't great for a Tentacruel, which tend to focus on special defense. Toxic Spikes presents some interesting strategies. I could fetch Protect and create a Stalling Tentacruel. So there you have it, three quality water type Pokemon, but only one of them can be on the team.
Blaze The Great
My vote goes to Staryu. Best overall Sp. Atk, which is pretty important on a water type. It also has really good Speed and a nice ability. As for Steel Wing, you could use that on Staraptor as a counter for Rock-types if you're too scared to use Close Combat. Yeah, it's pretty situational, but there are uses for it.

SilverHairedFreak25
I'd say go for Tentacool. Tentacruel is really underrated, considering his pre-evo is the Zubat of Surfspots.

Shuuda
Ok, good news, and bad news. Good news, is that I have a way to get the file back to closer than where it was before, just after beating Morty so far. Bad news. I'll have to redo quit a few things, probably. Shuuda
How does that happen? Do you use savestates to save or something? Generally no, I use the saving in game. However. I had one save state. I must've accidently pressed the hotkey to load it or something. I'm kind of new to emulating things like this. Okay, what I'll do if you guys are okay with it, is rush through the game, ignoring nuzlocke rules, until I'm at the same point I was before. I'll capture all the same Pokemon I've since lost (including skipping on the encounter I killed), and box the once that had previous died, but are now back. Basically, just get my game roughly to the same place. Edited July 9, 2015 by Shuuda
