I feel like IS just put up a huge middle finger to the weabs otakus err veterans who are pining for the "glory" days of Fire Emblem that spend a considerable amount of time crying about the degradation of the series and fanbase. Honestly though I don't find any of this particularly surprising. This is only limited to spouses anyway. I mean, does anyone find it surprising that teenagers skilled in at least 5 ways of literally ripping people apart happen to get married and *gasp* have sex? Not that I'm going to use this of course, I'm only in it for strategy and tactics. Not "waifus" and "husbandos" or whatever you plebs call them. Haha fuck that. Wait for me Camilla.... I honestly did not expect this, and I definitely didn't expect that I'd be this ridiculously happy that it's there. Ignoring the siblings for now, having this kind of dialogue with a lover totally makes sense and is something I only expected to see in fanfiction (both good and bad fanfiction). I honestly couldn't stop laughing for about half an hour after reading some of these lines. But here's the really strange thing: the fact that they included something so hilarious makes me even more excited for the main storyline. Since it looks like this story will be taking some dark turns just from the trailers and such, some players might need equally ridiculous moments to recover from the heavy ones. I'm just speaking from what I've personally seen in media, though; some of the most hilarious lines and scenarios I can think of came from movies and books that were very dark or horrific. tl;dr This ridiculousness makes me think the game itself will be wonderfully dark (and maybe even a bit depressing). Yes! This is my opinion and im loving all this reveal. I was hoping for special dialogue with S supported units, and im getting it (hopefully) so YES.
