berserkers are pretty bad

probably deserved to lose this anyway after fudging the math on chrom, although Priam getting rekt was unfourtunate

also the double astra on turn 2 was pretty unfourtunate too, but Basilio hit too I guess.

skill procs were so ridiculous here. Carmine had safe vengeance procs, maybe if thwomp were a warrior things may have come different.

Also, chrom's high hit was due to hit+20 and...

edit: there is no demoiselle in your side

warriors get doubled too much (in the gen1 meta anyway) and don't have the strength cap to do what I needed them to

If i had run someone with demoiselle and maybe given thwomp hit+20 instead of one of his other skills he just kills gaius (and any assassin with 31 def or less) at pretty good hit. I just wanted to see how the berserkers fared.

the avatar I did was +str/-def, and with the same distribution, he'd have 40 speed which gets rekt because it's not a sorceror.

a +spd warrior just really isn't that impressive imo, still only hits 43/44 speed and 47/48 strength really isn't that great. They're just at risk of being food for assassins.

i have an idea for a future team though that I think will be very strong.

assassins are definately a threat but are by no means the best class

sorcerors definately are, especially Miriel with renewal/tomefaire/tomebreaker. There's really very little inscentive to use anyone else. You just can't attack them.

I don't think I really did choose to run Tomefaire on my Miriel. Anathema wasn't such a prominent option back then too (almost essential now). Tomebreaker just means you can't fight them your own Sorcs and Dread Fighters, doesn't it? No other viable tome users to be found in the metagame. Sorcs are so easy to double most of the time (besides special MU builds and maybe Gangrel, who's kind of a crappy Sorc), which means they're easy to attack 4 times with a brave weapon, all in a metagame with skill procs like Luna and Vengeance. You can't expect them to be less threatened by powerful units than Assassins, for example.

Also, if Sorcs are so good, then why aren't they iniating rounds of combat and just waiting until the game ends?

Because Sorcs serve also as tanks and hit res really hard. It is a high risk to lose them so early, specially when Vengeance and Aversa's Night is best used at enemy phases when you get hit and leave your enemy nearly dead. The only way you can nuke a sorc early game is with Braves and one or two luna procs, with the risk of getting vengeance rekt.

you need like two luna's or two astra's or something to even kill them (if you double, and that's pretty much restricted to Assassins, and if it fails, they kill a unit and are back at full health

there's also the possibility they have forseti equipped, and are no longer doubled by brave assassins, who can't kill them without like, double astra or something ridiculous. If they get low, they vengeance aversa's blick someone (like the unit that just attacked them) and are magically back at full health.

A +spd/-def berserker avatar (the strongest option that doubles sorcerors) doesn't even kill them with a luna hit + regular hit with a brave axe and axfaire (leaves Miriel with 3HP) then she counters back and one shots said unit, healing back 40 HP, then 24 more on her turn.

Maybe assassin avatar with tomebreaker just used to kill the sorc, with anathema demoiselle, a burn skill or lucky seven to avoid any serious retaliation

edit: like luna, tomebreaker, lucky 7, Quick burn and a faire skill

edit: then have another assassin with other breaker skills and some other passive unit with demoiselle annd anathema

Ok, I'm back. Wow, what a couple of rounds.

I don't really want to attack Tharja since she'll just heal all the damage back with Aversa's Night (that and I'm pretty sure she has Pavise), but I have to do something. I guess Miriel will finally get to contribute by attacking Tharja with the Superior Jolt.

EDIT: Fuck it, just have Carmine attack Tharja with the Brave Axe, Miriel should be able to finish her off even if Pavise activates.

You didn't have Pavise? I guess I could have just attacked you with Carmine and saved a turn, but I was paranoid.

I'm not sure if I should have won, since I got kind of lucky with skill procs and Chrom killing Priam at 35 displayed hit.

Here are the skillsets for informative purposes:

Carmine: Vengeance, Vantage, Axefaire, Hit Rate +20, Hex

Chrom: Aether, Luna, Rightful King, Hit Rate +20, Charm

Miriel: Renewal, Tomefaire, Anathema, Demoiselle, Bond

Gaius: Astra, Swordfaire, Lucky 7, Avoid +10, Axebreaker

Stahl: Luna, Vantage, Bowfaire, Hit Rate +20, Bowbreaker.

I actually think Chrom is very good. His stats are pretty solid and rightful king and two procs is pretty awesome.

Hit other skills are kind of mediocre, but I think the rest makes up for it.

I had Pavise on Tharja earlier but I removed it for... Hit+20 I think.

Yeah, Ragnell Chrom does seem decent with the ability to counter bows.

Aether, Luna, Rightful King, Hit +20 is probably the best set. Maybe couple it with Prescience cuz Charm is meh

Edit: Also, demoiselle and Anathema are pretty much a must.

He gets bowbreaker and aegis too, he has a few options.

If I had packed a Mire on Tharja i might have been able to pull it off. Will do in the future!

Thanks for hosting Quint. The cut in quotes were a nice touch that i'm gonna shamelessly steal.
