Freohr Datia
OK SO The Renaissance had some real pretty architecture I also really love Maya architecture they made neat shapes c: And I also love Inca architecture particularly Machu Picchu (especially because they picked such a beautiful location~~~~) And Integrity got a book of Persian architecture which is very very impressive =O Out of all of those I think I'd place either the Persian architecture or Renaissance architecture on top EDIT: okay nevermind that is just sex persia wins Edited August 3, 2015 by Freohr Datia
Interest
I was originally going to say "Oriental Architecture, I'm such a biased sod." Found this: Looks like something futuristic (if perhaps inefficient) I swear. Edited August 3, 2015 by Interest

Nightmare
Oooooooooooh I love this question. Gothic is magnificent. Baroque is stupendous. Rococo is magnificent. And then for specific examples, pretty much every castle in Romania is tops, but most of all I love Bran, Corvin, Peleș and Pelișor. Sighișoara Citadel is very nice as well. In general, I am very in love with beautiful castles. You already know about Neuschwanstein too. Versailles as well, as linked above. And of course, I love all sorts of other architecture as well, such my HOMELAND (as linked above by Freohr), Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Meso-American and...yeah, everything. I just love architecture! BONUS EDIT: For fictional castles, the castle from Symphony of the Night is absolutely gorgeous. Knight
Oh my God, this is a question for me. First of all, Gothic, let's get that one out of the way. Who doesn't love Gothic? It can be creepy just as much as comforting. The picture below is a place I've been in England. (Not my picture though) http://www.historvius.com/images/original/Bath-Abbey-1769.jpg Next, the Inca. Probably some of the most amazing stone builders in history, they built everything up high in the mountains, and towered over all the neighbouring tribes and tiny empires like the Aztec and Maya. We can only imagine what this may have looked like intact, but it's still beautiful. http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/01/62/a1/fe/the-ancient-inca-city.jpg Now castles, specific ones that I find beautiful. I'll ignore Neuschwanstein since everyone's seen it. The beautiful walled city of Carcassonne, France. I found it's picture while doing research for my book, and it looks almost exactly how i imagined the way the castle in my story would look from the outside. http://cdn2.independent.ie/incoming/article29169960.ece/62c18/ALTERNATES/w620/0204-cacasonne.jpg Hohenzollern, Germany. Criminally underrated. A little past the medieval era, but it was still a royal palace and a defensive structure. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/Burg_Hohenzollern_ak.jpg Romania has some amazing castles, as does Italy, France and Germany, the best countries for castle seeing I think (sorry Britain). lego architecturefunny thing: with a few exceptions, actually i am not fond of lego's architecture line Yes, Lego. I've got some awesome Lego architecture myself, but it's incomplete and will likely stay so until I have a few hundred dollars to waste on the parts I need. How do I put links in text btw? Knight
Medieval. This is way too broad a term.
Blitz
anything not too hard to design for the structural engineer (basically, normal buildings with no complex architecture) I don't think I need to show photos for it
NinjaMonkey
This is way too broad a term. make this as broad or narrow as you want:
Knight
Well yeah, I guess you can do that. But it's kinda hard to get an idea of your preference with a term that encompasses: http://www.keesn.nl/vlaard/vlaar05.jpg to https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/Dover_Castle_05.jpg and even http://topwalls.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/japan-himeji-castle.jpg Oh yeah, forgot to mention my fondness for pagodas. Freohr Datia
How do I put links in text btw? text so text also for future reference, you can look at the codes people use by quoting their post and then pressing the very top left icon, it shows the code that's used Edited August 3, 2015 by Freohr Datia
