When a videogame is good, is because is simply well worked. And yes, there is unlikely no game such as 'best in whole videogaming history'. History tends to change such subterms over its own passing. But, please understand games like these are a rarity to find, now more than ever while the 'bloody-shooter adult videogaming content' prevails too much these days. Yeah, kids around their short teens playing too much Mortal Kombat, then GTA, now let's blast those nubs in CoD and more only bloody titles ... (yup ...).tbh do I have to explain what undertale does poorly? the better parts of the game are three: music, characterization and writing. every other part of the game, including the gameplay which is mediocre even by indie game standards, simple plot, etc are done not very well and purposedly so. it's a hyperfocused game that has clever writing in order for you to care about the characters. this all only appeals to certain types of gamers.
